♥of.surprises.&.me.♥
If there's one thing I hate about living in KL is the my-bum-is-burning-and-my-brain-is-melting traffic, just yesterday my drive home was elongated to an hour and a half. Sungguh gumbira.
There's no point in guessing that I reached home a wee bit after 7pm whilst figuring out on how am I supposed to pull out a magic trick on the cooking, like yea, after seven baru nak start masak, bila tahun nak makan ni? (Plus, I promised to cook something for C***, remember? Yup, I'm doomed.)
So whilst getting into the elevator, I was already drafting some clever answer for C***, in case he asked why didn't I make a move from the office earlier, dah tau petang-petang traffic jam, tak reti-reti nak gerak awal? - which surprisingly he didn't.
Yea, no mocking, no red-eyed monster hubby either(but I had a glimpse of his sad "Awak lambaaaat" look) as I was warmly welcomed by a wonderful smell wafting from the kitchen.Yes, yet another (wonderful) surprise - my darling C*** cooked for iftar!Thank youuuu love. he he♥
Yes, he made everything - including the dish which I'm supposed to cook for him, he he.Terer jer pon masak sendiri. :P
Owh, on 2nd thought, he made almost everything but he intentionally left out the veges for me to whip up, so yea, it's a new record. I made nothing but the mushroom broccoli stir-fry and iced Ribena.
Sooo darling..don't ya think we should do this often? No? Okay, how about occasionally, yes?
p/s:Yea, I love the other half for being a sweetheart but I still hate the traffic and don't let me ramble bout today's morning traffic in MRR2.Grrr...

♥of.a lazy weekend.&.me.♥
The 6th day of Ramadan, how time flies. he he.
Had a do-nothing-but-sleep-and-eat weekend. We laze around, watched tv, went to the Ramadan bazaar, ate blardy lot during iftar, terawih at the neighborhood mosque with the parents, more food and more sleep. Like seriously,it made me feel like a huge bloated python, not something you should feel very often.
Anyway, we reached back home 30 minutes before 11pm last night, my head was already heavy with sleep but C*** was hungry(since we had a rather light iftar at Tapah) so I pulled out another batch of pasta from our magic freezer. he he. Watched him eat, cleaned the kitchen, folded the laundry and off to la la land before waking up for sahur.
Our iftar yesterday was a simple affair whilst our sahur's not - as mum tapau-ed some yummo dishes for us, so yea, the sahur was sorta lavish for our standard - compared to our usual french- toast-scramble eggs-sausages menu. he he.
Owh, am going back home later to cook a requested dish for C***. Am not sure whether I could pull it off, but we'll see.
Forgive my semi-randomness. I'm still feeling a wee bit disoriented from the lazy weekend.
Have a great week okie?
Tata.

♥of.scandalous .&.me.♥
Dad called and fussed over the fact that night driving is dangerous and whatnot. Haih, what to do dad? We could only make a move after iftar and we(or should I say C*** since he's the designated driver) hafta regain his strength back before the long drive. So yea, we'll be a wee bit late, but fret not. We'll try to be very safe, okie?
Parents, they would always worry bout you, no matter if you gonna turn 26 in a month and married. Yea, perhaps it's true that I'd always be their baby.
Owh, we're eating out for iftar tonite. It gonna be a quick date(yer, sempat lagi tu). he he. Makan dengan gembira, jalan pegang tangan, la la la. Just us, being happy whilst attracting the unwanted stares from some kepochi macik that would give ya the "budak-budak sekrang ni tak tau malu dok pegang2 tangan semua" stares.
Owh well, stare all you want macik, it's not our fault that we don't look married(even more so now that our bridal henna is somewhat non existent). In fact, it's sorta fun, rasa macam ala-ala scandalous. he he.
In fact C*** used to jokingly come up with
" what if we go somewhere dark at a park somewhere and lepak-lepak in the car, kot-kot nanti ade orang nak tangkap, we could show off our wedding certificate".
Right, that sounds awesome. We'd do exactly that darling, but dunno when lah. he he. Ade hati. I mean, now all of it seems like a laughing matter, kot ade hati nak buat before kawen dulu, memang lah mencari naya kena kerat 15 dek parents tercinta unless you're planning to have a FOC wedding. :P
Yea, enough of crappy rambling.
Gotta run, enjoy your weekend alright? I'm so going to enjoy mine.

♥of.cooking.&.me.♥
Remember MIL's recipe that I was dying to try out yesterday?
It turned out to be *cough* nice *cough*(tak boleh blah puji diri sendiri, on 2nd thought C*** think it's good too. So takde la angkat bakul sangat kan? he he).
It's a gigantic relief since I sorta detest the idea of trying out someone's recipe as it's hard to replicate others cooking. No matter how specific and detailed the recipe given to you, there's always a huge possibility of not doing it right.
Mau angker kalau dah penat-penat masak tetiba ade orang cakap "Eh, tak sama pon dengan macik sebelah rumah tu masak?" Memang akan rasa macam nak curah lauk tu atas kepala. he he.
Ya know what I mean?
So yea, since everything turned out right last night (it's either I'm a good cook or C***'s too non-fussy to notice the different), I'm going to whip up another new recipe tonite( new kerana it would be invented whilst I'm cooking for iftar). he he.
Owh, credit where credit is due, I hafta thank the other half for being a sweetheart as he helped with the ingredients(siap tolong masak nasik) since he was back home early.
Thank you darling - tapi lain kali kalau saya cakap nak mintak tolong kupas bawang banyak2, it means banyaakkk, 3 biji bawang tu tak berapa banyak. Okay, I'll be more specific next time.he he
On a lighter note, we're going back to Kedah tomorrow right after work.
I can't wait.

♥of.the 1st.&.me.♥
Nope, ain't talking bout my 1st love or bout our 1st date this time.
You got it right, am gonna ramble bout our 1st sahur. It's our 1st, so I just hafta jot it down.he he.
Well, both of us managed to get up for sahur as I was wide awake by 4.30am(sungguh bersemangat, I can't believe myself sometimes) to reheat the pasta and later dragged C*** out from bed at 5.
Yea, we had pasta, not something you'd usually have for sahur - which I dug from the freezer since I've made tonnes of the bolognese sauce beforehand. Just took em out, put em on the stove and add water and milk! Pastu kacau lah to your heart's content, put it on a plate, sprinkle some grated cheese and sahur is served.
So yea,we ate whilst sipping on hot tea and iced OJ dan jugak sambil tengok the typical drama berunsurkan keinsafan on tv, owh how they like making em these days, sungguh stereotype, tengok half way pon macam dah boleh agak dah storyline.
Talking bout sahur menu, I think we gonna go for toast(or cereals) and hot drinks tomorrow, we'll reserve the fancy menu for the weekend as C***'s not big on eating during sahur(me neither), I bet he'd rather wake up just for drinks and nothing else, but since I'm so bersemangat, I think he'd still eat whatever I made for him - just to humor me a bit.
Well darling, I'm trying to be mithali here, so bear with me. :P
Anyway, gonna try out a new recipe given by MIL for iftar. I hope it gonna turn out right,he he.
On a lighter note, I reached the office a quarter before 9am. Sungguh amazing and the traffic is ain't that bad either. During Ramadan we'll get to leave the office by 5pm, so I'll make it a point to get to the office early so I could get back home on time.
Yup no more slacking off this year, I couldn't afford to reach home few minutes before iftar like I did years back. It's funny bout how you'd have to change some rituals after you're married. It's like you're now thinking for two, "if I'm late then he would be eating alone, owh I can't let that happen" ha ha.
Just when I thought that I wouldn't have to do all those thinking. :P
I'm off now.
Happy fasting and be good, okay?

♥of.a shopping spree.&.me.♥
My weekend(or should I say,my one day off, sob) was an eventful one for me.
We headed straight to Malacca on Saturday after work, planned to catch a midnite movie but was too tired for it, so after a quick dinner, a borak session with C*** and the PIL , saya tido. Yea, not so interesting, I know.
Well, my Sunday on the other hand, started off rather early, like heck super early. C***, MIL and me were already in the car heading out for a shopping spree at 6.30am, dengan baju comot, tak sempat mandi segala, but fret not, the tak mandi and sloppy t-shirt are the norm especially for this type of shopping.
Shopping ape pagi-pagi buta you ask? We went for fish-shopping aka jalan-jalan beli ikan kat pasar borong yo! ha ha. Yea, I can't believe myself either. It's funny to think of how I could be so semangat about the whole idea.
On second thought, crappy fishes in KL, together with the bosan-tengok-ayam-jer-dalam-freezer feeling would do this to you. It was C*** idea whilst MIL was eager to help and I'm game.
It has been ages since the last time I stepped into a wet market, like seriously I can't even remember when. Perhaps 1000 years ago, so yea, kindly imagine my surprise upon seeing the crowd(like owh rajinnya semua orang datang pasar pagi-pagi buta) and tonnes of sea foods and most of em were dirt cheap.
An hour later, we're back home with an ice box filled to the brim- with fishes, squids and whatevernot. It didn't break our banks either. Sungguh gumbira. We should do this often darling, err..I mean once a month or when we run out of fishes(& squids, I loveeee squids), whichever comes first.
So yea, when we got back to KL last night. Our freezer was stuffed, every nooks and crannies were filled. It's one happy freezer. Ayam dalam freezer pon tak keseorangan lagi, dah ade ikan, sotong and udang temankan. Hmpp..perhaps we should have sotong goreng tepung tonite, yummo.
Owh, if you're wondering, I know how to gut the fishes, of course I do(my MIL was even surprised to know that, he he). My mum would kill me if I don't, okay I might not be killed(perhaps I'll be strangled), but her years of mari-mengajar-anak-tersayang-to-be-dapur-literate sessions would be a waste. Plus I'm determined not to be hopeless when it comes to the kitchen, untuk tidak memalukan ibu tercinta.
I'm the only daughter ya see, it wouldn't do her justice if I didn't turn out right, some people would go "anak perempuan sorang pon tak reti nak ajar ke?" (tho takde lah kena terer macam Chef Wan segala). Yea, laugh all you want, but it's one of my missions in life, like seriously and it's true that a way to a man's heart is through his tummy. :P
So besides fish-shopping, we already started the pre-EID shopping. Yea, planning to get some stuff for the parents and PIL. Found nice silks for both mum and MIL but yet to figure out what to buy for dad and FIL. Pelan-pelan cari.
Owh, I'm still sorta sleepy from the lack of sleep last night and didn't manage to resume my sleep after kissing the other half goodbye, kerana I was busy with the house chores. Nak basuh baju la, iron baju la, prepare the stuff for tonite's dinner la. Tsk, I'm starting to sound and think like a macik-macik already, so God help me.
Yes, please have a nice week.
I'm off. Ciou.

♥of.the random queen.&.me.♥
Let's be random for a bit
o1. We're going back to Malacca this weekend, right after work on Saturday. The main mission is to collect the wedding album(yer, sungguh lah pantas. The one in Kedah maybe lagi satu abad baru siap) so we could show it to moi parents when we're back in Kedah during the 1st week of Ramadan. I can't wait - to balik Kedah that is, this is the 1st balik kampung after the wedding.
o2. I'm not (really) looking forward to see Malacca's wedding album as we had a bad experience with the MUA(yea, I managed not to ramble about this one, how surprising is that?) anddd I sorta detest the makeup, so saya adelah tak bersemangat - but don't tell C*** that. On second thought, I think he knew. Haih, but I still hope it gonna turn out to be okay anyway, else the moolah spent on the photog adelah wasted, not wasted wasted lah, but everyone wanna look pretty in their wedding photos, no?
o3. Both me and C*** gonna be working tomorrow. Yea, we're a bunch of workaholics. Not! he he. It's some sort of paksarela in my case (tho I'm glad that I could catch up with the datelines :P ) and it's a replacement work day for C*** as he would be enjoying a freaking long EID break later. Saya jealous.
o4. We're planning for a quick getaway, after EID. Dunno where yet lah,tho I hope it's somewhere where we could jalan-jalan and shop, like a lot. he he.
o5. We still need to hunt for some stuff for the house, else we won't be expecting any guests during EID. ha ha. Yer, raya sebulan balik kampung.
o6. I'm not going to cook tonight. Saya malas. My cooking skills won't function when there's nothing in the freezer but chicken. C***, let's eat out and shop for groceries tonight. ThankyouverymuchIloveyou.
o7. I'm a bit stressed out over work. I mean, I still love my work but working on something whilst you're not armed with the appropriate knowledge is a bit annoying. I hate being unprepared when it comes to work. Rasa sungguh blur ayam.
o8. I want a new ride. he he.
That's about it.

♥of.hating the traffic.&.me.♥
I hate morning traffic especially the extreme one. It has been 3 months since I hafta use the MRR2 to work(tho I hate it, but it's not like I have a choice or whatsoever) and on a lucky day(which is once in a blue moon), I would be able to reach the office in 30 minutes.
Today however, is the unlucky one as it took me an hour and 15 minutes for my approximately 25KM drive to work. Like yea, how wonderful is that? All thanks to an annoying species of stupid kepochi Malaysian drivers.
Why? Because I have to brace through a crawling traffic for nothing, like seriously nothing or at least nothing to do with the side of the road that I was driving on.
Yes, there was an accident tapiiiiiiii it was on the OTHER side of the road and it's NOT supposed to affect our side of the road, like heck, even the other side of the road with the accident moved faster than my side of road, like you see? Sungguh la kepochi semua orang nak slow down and tengok, it's just an accident. Move on already. Lain la tetiba ade orang terbaring and blocked the road, so kena elak-elak ke ape - if that's the case I could understand lah why on earth the cars were moving slower than snails, but yeah, that's not the case.
Owh yea, if you're wondering, the traffic magically menjadi begitu smooth after that. Yea, thanks kepochi drivers. I love you(but please die). Thankyouverymuch.
Enough of hatred.
Hmpp..we had pizza for dinner last night. I know, I'm violating my monthly fast food quota, but I have a valid reason for that. he he. I forgot to move the frozen chicken & prawns from the freezer into the chiller before I'm off for work(which means by the time I'm home around 8 baru nak defrost segala, mau lambat lah makan).Plus, scheduling a pizza delivery for dinner at 2pm is so convenient that I couldn't resist from doing so (yer, after lunch terus terpikir ape pulak to have for dinner) .
Takpe lusa saya masak. How bout tonight? Tonight we're going out on a movie date. he he. It has been ages since the last one. I hope it gonna be great as we never go for movies at night before, tapi sekarang dah boleh sesuka hati nak pagi petang tengah malam segala. Now we'll even get to take the couple seat. ha ha. Yea, a bit jakun.
I don't know about you but we never go for the couple seat before as we deem it inappropriate. Yea, agak poyo di situ. But tell me how could you be comfortable in a couple seat without leaning against each other sebab there's no hand rest in between kan, unless sorang ke kanan sorang leaning kiri, but that would be hard for the occasional bisik-bisik - unless you've mastered the art of sitting still and straight throughout the movie. :P
I'm off.
Tata.

♥of.the chores.&.me.♥
C***'s back, I'm not longer alone but I still hate Mondays. :P
Well, let's ramble a bit bout the weekend.
I managed to work on the codes for my current project, which I sorta detest since the formulas and calculations are driving me insane. Tsk tsk, I love programming but I could surely live without the calculations. Kenapa lah I have to do the reporting? Whyyy?
Okie, enough bout work.
After work on Saturday, went for a quick groceries shopping as I was running out of some stuff(as I was planning to whip up some pasta for C***'s dinner on Sunday, kerana wife dia malas masak nasi) and I was having this weird craving for cherries and blueberries - I have a tub of Ben & Jerry Cherry Garcia in the freezer, so I reckon the fresh berries would be a great addition to that. I was salivating by just thinking of it. he he. Yer, kalau nak menambahkan lemak memang pandai.
So yea, a bowl of ice cream later, I mopped the entire house(it's made easy by the fact that the living hall is still somewhat bare, he he. See Kakna bebeh, I'm not lying. ha ha), ironed all of C***'s working shirts & mine.
Scrubs the bathrooms. Ironed and folded the entire collection of C***'s handkerchief.Yup C*** is the kind of guy who brings a nice clean folded hanky with him everyday. I used to think it's so pacik-like, like ya know, orang-orang tua jer bawak hanky ni, but now I think it's sorta neat & I've learned to appreciate it as C*** used to offer it to me when I accidentally cut moi finger, yup boleh double up as bandage, but just make sure it's clean and boogers-free. :P
So yea, sometime in the midst of those domestic goddess chores, I had a blackout. Tried to turn on the main switch, but it kicked off each time. So I called C*** for help(macam la boleh tolong as he was busy being the artist in a singing competition, will rant more about this later), he suggested I switched off everything and try again.
In the darkness, equipped with nothing but my cellphone for the much needed source of light, I did everything as instructed and managed to discover the culprit, it's the wall switch for our fridge. It's either overload or something. I dunno. So after an unprofessional DIY, which consist of a very very long extension switch, boleh lah turn on the fridge else I'm dead as the fridge is loaded with 1001 stuff. Mau meroyan nak refill the fridge balik if everything is spoil. he he.
Come Sunday, went out with darling cousins for chicken rice lunch (yer Kakna bebeh, I could feel the extra portion of ayam swimming in my tummy together with the iced tea all day long), a quick stop in Jusco for pillows(he he,hows the pillow? Adekah tidoq lebih bahagia? I'm using it as my batal peluk instead as it's to hmpp..spongy? How could a natural cotton pillow be spongy,I have no idea).
Also bought myself a cheap cute tops but reckon it's a size too small since it's a bit clingy(dah kawen kena lebihkan bersopan, ehem) so might exchange it later. After a wee bit of groceries shopping for the little cousin, stopped for a quick coffee dose(for them, not me as I would be sleepless lah malam tu kalau minum coffee, hence the honey lemon).
We later headed home. Thank youu Kakna Bebeh, we should do it again sometimes, provided I'm around and free and single and available(or when C*** doesn't mind me going out berjimba,he he. I bet he wouldn't mind.)
Owh talking about the hubby's attempt at singing during his company retreat, I think he made it, as he came back home last night together with a trophy, he's now the official number one *cough* singer *cough* in his department. ha ha.
So yea darling, how about a song or two tonite, yes? :P
Have a great week.
Ciou.

♥of.weekend update.&.me.♥
Yea, this is pretty unusual, me rambling on Saturday.(Yea, I'm in the office,alone.Great.)
I'm tired, mentally.
I feel like going back home and doze off for an hour or two, as I had a hard time to sleep last night after C***'s phone call and endless chain of texts. It almost feel like we're still the unmarried couple again. Malam-malam sebok dok bergayut, texting segala. :P
Owh, we're just married. So forgive my clingy-ness(tho I reckon I'd stay this way forever). Give me a break and don't muntah hijau just yet. he he.
Moving on,
I need to do the laundry later, as I have another batch to wash - it's the dark colored one. It doesn't matter if there are only 5 pieces of em. he he. My separate light from dark colors rules are not meant to be broken. Sedikit OCD di situ.
Talking about washing, I also need to scrub the bath rooms, especially the one in our room since it has never been used, yet. Like seriously, it's slightly bigger and brighter compared to the one outside tapi we somehow abandon it due to its distance to our closet room.
C*** even gave me some of his "the bathroom is too big that it scares me" alasan. Sungguh tak make sense, konon takot padahal pemalas ya amat, tho the different adelah so insignificant, like 4 steps jer kot.he he. Yea, we're a bunch of lazy bums.
Owh, on a lighter note, I hate McD's GCB, the chicken thigh with its somewhat rubbery and fatty skin is sorta yucky. Why la tak buang the skin? Fatty skin yang ala lembik-lembik is gross okie? Tsk tsk. Not something I would repurchase in the next 1000 years. I'll stick to McChicken next time.
Haih, there goes my one and only fast food ration for this month. If I were to be fat from fast food, might as well make sure it comes from a good one kan? Ni tidakkkkk. *pull hairs*
Okay, back to my programming.

♥of.alone.&.me.♥

Owh, how I dread the weekend(like seriously, at least this upcoming weekend), let me count the ways.
o1. I hafta work tomorrow. What's better than spending your Saturday with the loved one the endless codes in the office? Sob.
o2. C***'s away on his company retreat. Earlier this morning, with a kiss goodbye and luggage in tow, off he went and I only get to see him again on Sunday. Kesedihan.
o3. I hate staying home, alone. It ain't fun. C***, I need a pet cat( or ferret, or hamster or chipmunk) please?
Okie, enough whining.
I'm off, am getting myself a manicure and pedicure - to soothe the pain of being alone.(Could I be more dramatic?)
Yea, it seems like I won't be enjoying my weekend( that much), but by all means, do enjoy yours.

♥of.curiosity.&.me.♥

Curiosity killed the cat.
This is the time when I hate being too curious & not to mention, paranoid.
I detest the fact that I'm too resourceful when the curiosity kicked in.
It's like asking someone what smoking feel like, then masa tu jugak la ade orang baik hati nak kasi sebatang for testing and you're like,"eh I'm just kidding, bukan nak rasa sangat pon" *cough nervously*
Ya get the drift? It's like asking for something but when you eventually got it, tetiba rasa menyesal.
It's like being presented with a pirate's map to a hidden treasure, your guts is telling you that the treasure is there somewhere and you're all excited(finally! Aku kaya!), but you'll never know for sure - since all you could see is a piece of map marked with an X.
Haih, boleh meroyan kalau macam ni.
*sighs*
To dig or not to dig, that's the big freaking dilemma.
Hmpp..
I better find the right time to fix this.
What will be, will be, yes?

♥of.randomness.&.me.♥
Happy Monday! *yawns*
Let's be random for a bit.
C*** called sometime at 4pm just now, to ask me out on a super-brief date as he was waiting in the car, in front of the office. Like yea, how sweet of you darling, sempat dropped by whilst on the way to the airport. It was like a 20 minutes date, so yea esok kita sambung dating. :)
Yea, you got it right. C***'s away on a work trip (again) today (but he'll be back tomorrow). The 2nd time since we tied the knot, and he'll be away again this weekend as he hafta join his company's yearly retreat. Yea I know, a cue for me to berjimba with the beloved cousins. he he. Tapiiii...on a downside, I hafta work on Saturday and this shall go on for 2 freaking weeks(owh, our bonus this year better be gooood).
During the weekend, we got ourselves a brand new stove top to go with the existing hood as the old one just went kaput. We shouldn't have bothered bout replacing the built-in stove, tapi...when we informed the owner about it, he came up with the most magnificent solution ever, "yea, the stove's sorta old, tak payah guna lah macam tu".
What are you trying to imply? That I should quit cooking altogether since you're such a cheapskate to replace it? Well, fine. We'll get our own stove. It didn't cost millions anyway. Haih.Kedekut macam bende tu mahal berjuta-juta. Bleh.
Owh,besides the stove.
We also bought ourselves a brand new tv which C*** was salivating for (as he's a tv-person, he can't live without em) & brought it back home in C***'s small car(as we're not planning on buying, but the price's so blardy interesting that we couldn't resist). It was hilarious alright, I swear people were laughing at us when they saw the tv and the car, macam nak sumbat pokok into a keyhole, tapi since the big car is still in Malacca, we hafta make do lah, sumbat lah selagi boleh(dan nasib baik muat, kalau tidaakkk???)
So now I have an idiot box to keep me company whilst C*** ain't home. What a price to pay. It ain't cheap, but it worth every penny. he he.
I don't know how to say this without being poyo, but I think I like cooking - especially when I could whip up something that's not potentially poisonous and I have someone like C*** to feed. Watching him eating boleh jadi kenyang, like seriously. Perhaps it would be my key to kurus-ness.
I still have tonnes of clothes to be ironed. Particularly mine.
We need to get a blind for the kitchen. Sekarang semuanya ala-ala see-through. he he.
It's our one month anniversary yesterday(C*** still owes me a romantic dinner as we're too malas to go out yesterday.). Time flies ey? But I'm loving every minute of it.
That's about it.
20 minutes before 8. I better get goin.
So yea,have a great week.
Be good.

♥of.let's just fall in love again.&.me.♥
That you’ve just met me
And I’ve never seen you before
I’ll tell all my friends
That I think you’re starin’
And you say the same to yours
And oh, we’ll dance around it all night
And then I’ll follow you outside
And try to open up my mouth
And nothing comes out right
And I wanna fall in love with you again
I don’t have to try
It’s so easy
Who needs to pretend?
But because it’s so funny
Let’s just think about it, honey
Let’s just fall in love again
Owh Friday, I'm in love. :P
Have a great weekend.
I'll try to enjoy mine, whilst juggling between hectoring C***(darling,a romantic dinner for 2 please) and piles of work(seems like I hafta drag my mounting amount of work back home.sob!).

♥of.solitary.&.me.♥

C*** will be away starting today for two days - on a job assignment.
Bohooo..
It's kinda sad as I hate going back home to an empty house since I'm not the solitary type.
Honestly, I hate living a life of solitude, I detest it to the bones and it has been ages since the last time I was granted with the 'pingat kebesaran penunggu rumah' - the last time was during my undergrad years (I think) as everyone would head back to their hometowns during the weekend and I would be left alone in our rented place.
It was miserable, *cue sad song playing in the background*
but thank God for internet and C*** - as he would be online to amuse me(tho he was million miles away) else I would just die from loneliness (& some are still wondering why I could fall for C***? Not much of a mystery now ey?). he he.
Well, tho it's not like I love to be home alone without nobody to hector but as for today,
I would be able to
o1. Stay back way longer after the office hours. On a normal day, I would usually stay back for an hour after the office hours end - due to my unofficial flexi hours routine - as I would reach the office at 9.45am tho I'm supposed to be in by 8.45am.(Ingat office bapak sendiri?he he) The boss doesn't fuss much on the timing as he's a firm believer of "selagi keje kau siap, lantak kau la nak masuk and balik pukul berapa pon labu".
So yea, today I would spend more time at the office since C*** is not around, like how my colleague put it "Balik awal-awal pon bukan ade suami kat umah"(Kenapakah ayat ini seperti keji? As if suami takde boleh balik lambat dan pegi berjimba.he he) plus I'm struggling to meet my deadlines, so yea, berusahalah!
o2. I'll get to be my usual malas-nak-pikir-malam-ni-nak-makan-apa self. Tonite I could just stuff myself with kaya toast or tuna sandwich. Ever since we started living in our own place, more often than not, I would find myself driving back home whilst having the 'what to cook for C***'s dinner' issues somewhere at the back of my mind.
I should not worry much as he's not fussy bout food, yes.
Tapi, masak simple ke, complicated ke, still kena pikir jugak, no? I salute those wives yang hari-hari masak. Perhaps I should come up with a daily cooking chart or something eh?
Hmpp..that's about it lah kot, what else to do when C*** is not around?(Besides being sad ala2 drama queen? he he)
Hmpp..
On an unrelated note, last night we went for a simple makan-makan at the bro in-law's, courtesy of the MIL. The foods adelah yummeh and C*** had a wonderful time making fun of me in front of his mum. Haih, will he ever be malu a bit? I know she's his mum, it's only natural for him to be his usual playful-self, tapii saya adelah segan.(My malu-malu kuching masih belum berakhir) Sila bersopan di depan ibunda okay? Tsk tsk.
After the makan-makan, the MIL and bro in law even dropped by for a quick tour of our place. A quick chat later, they headed home when it was already half an hour before midnite. I ironed C***'s t-shirt and khakis whilst C*** took a shower then tido.
I woke up this morning to the sound of thunder, heavy rain & C*** hugging my hand.
He he. Missing me already eh dear? :P

♥of.amused.&.me.♥
It's amusing to find your other half, in the kitchen at 11pm, gutting and cleaning the fishes - that we bought in Tesco last night. he he.
Sungguh bersemangat waja, I'm proud of you darling & thank youuuu. Kalau dia tak siang ikan tu, guess who's next on the list? Ahkakk jugak. :P
So yea, we went for groceries shopping at 10pm. We're so occupied with the house chores all day long(plus an experimental masak-masak session, dah terer buat masak lemak cili api yo!ha ha kecoh) and somehow overlooked the fact that we're running low on the foodies, therefore, after a quick dinner, off we went.
Talking about groceries shopping, I always love em as a child since I love to go out for groceries with Mum, it's when I'll get to dump whatever I want in the trolley without even a glance at the price tag, macam owh sungguh heaven.
Now that I'm doing it for my own place,it's somewhat therapeutic for me, in fact even more so now that I get to do it with C***, cuma tak boleh pejam mata sangat lah when it comes to the price tags (kerana we need to menabung for some stuff). he he.
It's unbelievable how you could spend hundreds each week on groceries, padahal berdua jer, mungkin bahana banyak membeli benda-benda yang lagha. Sorang nak ribena, sorang nak nescafe mocha.
*shrugs*
Perhaps we should cut down the unnecessary, yes?
Well, groceries day aside.
We managed to go to Ikea on Saturday as I was lemming for a small pan and pots as Mum's tefal was a tad too big for casual cooking.
So 2 glass jars,
2 cute bowls,
a wall clock,
a toilet brush(balik rumah baru teringat dah ade 2, ha ha. You could never have too much berus jamban,no? :P),
a set of multiple sizes pots
and few unnecessary stuff later(Ikea sungguh dangerous as you'll always ended up buying those unnecessary),
we took a short break for meatballs and daim cake before walking hastily toward the payment counter(sebelum terbeli lagi banyak unnecessary stuff).
We then decided to drop our purchase into the car as we I wanted to jalan-jalan some more. We walked around hand in hand dengan gembira la la la, bought myself a cute tops, a pack of cherries and balik.
Fast forward.
Later that night, after a simple dinner of cheesy tuna sandwiches(C*** requested for it, he claimed I could beat Subway anytime, tapiiiii apakah kata ibu mertua kalau menantu asyik buat sandwiches memanjang? Hmppp), we sat in front of the lappie, all excited about selecting our wedding pics for the custom album.
Half way through, both of us were already dizzy otherwise known as tengok pics banyak sangat sampai nak muntah(literally) as there are like thousands of em, so we settle for everything that caught our fancy and would finalize it again later, which is soon. I hope.
Berusahalah!
Have a great week people.
Tata.

♥of.routines.&.me.♥
I'm still sick.
I would be restless in my sleep from the bad stuffy nose and the stinging sore throat annndd I sound like a frog, wibbit!
& C***'s catching the sickly bugs too. Poor C***, that's what you'll get from sleeping next to a bacteria silo.
Well, my first week at work after the looong break is somewhat unproductive. I'm terribly blurry as I was showering myself with all sort of senseless questions all week.
Like "How am I supposed to do this again? What's the password to that server again? Eh..how am I supposed to write this fricking batch? Owh..macam ni."
Sungguh blur ayam.
It's not helping when you have to learn something new whilst coding ( to catch a deadline) at the same time. Masa tu la nak tengok syntax dia macam mana, masa tu jugak la baru nak buat trial code bagai.
Hmpp...
Enough of the depressing blurry feeling.
Let's ramble a bit about my domestic-goddess routines. he he.
Well, my morning is usually an easy one. C***'s not a breakfast-person so he requires nothing. Almost nothing but a cuppa coffee - itu pon selepas ade seorang wifey yang asyik dok tanya "are you sure you're good to go without breakfast?", so dia pon cakap lah perhaps he needs coffee, mungkin dia kesian.
So yea, I'll make him coffee each morning and he would have it before dashing off to work at 6.45am dan saya pon sambung tido before getting up again for work.
I hafta admit that I'm thankful to be blessed with a non-fussy C*** when it comes to food. Our dinner(so far) usually range from pasta, nasi(yang dimasak perlbagai gaya), kaya toasts to sandwiches and he wouldn't mind a bit.
Sangat senang menjaga ini laki, which I'm determined not to take for granted. Kena lah jugak whip up something special when time permits - which is like soon(kot). he he.
Owh yea, when it comes to house chores, I would usually do it when I feel like it. Yer lah, I'm the all or nothing type of person. I would really do it or not at all. Takde case keja halfheartedly or separuh jalan segala. Kalau cincai-cincai stok menyakitkan hati, baik tak payah buat langsung. No?
So when I feel like it(which is usually after our dinner), I would iron his uniforms(yup, he works for an automotive company, therefore pakai uniforms) which is great, kerana there's no fancy shirts or pants but C*** is rather particular when it comes to ironing and whatnot, so I hafta make sure everything's sharply ironed or I'll an NG(not good) remarks from him.
Yea, being married to a QA engineer is just like that. Lorat tapi tak lorat.
Moving on,
when it comes to the laundry. We used to wash em like everyday, especially during the first few days after we got our hands on the washing machine - as both of us were excited about the fancy functions, turbo air dry and whatnot.
Now as the novelty begin to wear off, I'd usually do the laundry once or twice in a week, like how much laundry could two of us gather in a week pon kan? he he. Membazir air je basuh selalu(baru nak perasan?). he he.
The mopping, sweeping and whatever not would be done when I'm free and taking out the trash is currently being handled by C*** as the 'garbage room' adelah jauh(like the furthest end of our floor, so saya malas. So yey for a tough husband.Bodek sket.). :P
On a lighter note, I'm hoping to drag C*** out for jalan-jalan and perhaps a movie(after we're done with the unpacking).
Gotta run. The QA already checked-out my codes.
So yea, have a great weekend. I'll be enjoying mine.
Ciou.

♥of.Mondays.&.me.♥
I love Mondays.
Fine, I lied.( I only love em when when they fall on a holiday or something.)
Yea, whoever loves Mondays must be lying. No?
So here I am, starting my week with a runny itchy nose, a sore throat and an aching body. It's so bad that the doc that I went to see on Saturday asked whether I need a medical leave on Monday. he he. Kalau tak kerana the workloads, mau saja saya cakap "yes please".
Tapi, I have a dateline to catch and it's not a normal one, thanks to the fact that we hafta work on a new framework which I have zero, nada, kosong knowledge on tho all the java thingy supposed to remain the same.
Yer sungguh gumbira, so like it or not, I hafta drag my sorry ass to work this morning and struggle to digest as much info as possible since I hafta start the coding pronto, which is like..err..tomorrow? he he (ini bukan gelak gembira, ini gelak nervous.)
Owh yea, I'm yet to draft anything about the wedding, I'm not even sure whether I could recall much since loads of stuff happening since the solemnization.
Well, let's be random a bit
- The solemnization was breezy for C***. I'm truly glad (and overwhelmed with a weird sorta feeling but cry I didn't) as I felt like I could pee in my pants? he he. Dress lah kot.
- I love our nikah outfit, I love the simplicity of it (& I love my darling C*** in baju melayu.he he. Sila muntah.) but I accidentally tore the train of my dress with my heels. Sob.
- I love all the outdoor deco and fresh flowers and whatnot that were made around the house. All thanks to dad, it was a wee bit over the top(ditambah pulak dengan certain benda yang tak ikot theme color) but it was lovely. :)
- I love my last minute small wedding cake. It's lovely but I can't say much about the taste sebab sempat rasa frosting jer lepas tu the cake terus ghaib. Malam baru teringat, "Eh, mana cake?"
- I'm touched that a darling mak buyong & her hubby came as early as Friday morning for my wedding. Sob sob. (Walaupon lepas tu both of em sibuk nak menyakat orang.)
- I love my OP, I think he & his teams are awesome, walaupon saya penat nak kena pose memacam.

Well,I'm still digesting the fact that I'm married & I still love to ask C*** all sort of weird questions. "How'd you like being married to me? Are you happy? Being married feels funny right? Ya think you're nicer now that we're married?"
Honestly, being married is like being in love without the misery kot.
It's like yea, no more restriction when it comes to time, behaviors or whatsoever(tho still la ade yang kena jaga especially in public) but still, you're free to be as adventurous as you'd like when you're married - like what we did after we're married for 5 days.
Drove back to KL, then after a brief look at the messy house and kemalasan melanda, so we decided to head for PD instead and checked-in into a random hotel. It's a priceless freedom. Nobody would question why you're still on the road at 2am heading toward the unknown with a guy. he he. It's sorta weird at first, but fun nevertheless.
I know it's kinda early to say this, but being married is blissful and I hope it stays that way. :)
I'm off. Ciou.

♥of.wedding hiatus.&.me.♥
I'm back - from my longest hiatus so far. Heh, how time flies eh? 17 days of my leaves are gone in a jiffy.
So yea, we've been married for 2 weeks. 2 weeks of happiness laced with occasional sakit hati(would ramble bout it later). he he.
It's like I'm happy everyday, but sometimes not all day lah - tho thankfully none of those sakit hati came from C*** as he's been super nice since we're married. He even folded the laundry - truthfully,it's one of our kiddish prenuptial agreements, I'd do everything but folding, so he hafta do it.( Ingatkan main-main jer, tapi dia buat bebetul pulak.Syukurr). he he
It's sorta surprising really, it feels like having someone new altogether, in fact I think he's sweeter now compared to how he was before. Macam caring terlebih-lebih pulak. Takper lah, I'm not complaining. I like to be pampered, so what's there to whine about ey?
Well, would ramble more about the before & after the wedding stuff later, but here are some of my favorite photos( kindly click for bigger pic).
Forgive moi for looking like a donut, but I was born like that :P
Us being happy.(Yer,kawen pon kena pakai watch.)
The excruciating but fun outdoor photo shoot. Did ya know what I hafta go thru to get on that train whilst wearing my wedding dress? he he.
I love this pic, kena ade sebab ke? :P
Ini bukan cobaan ini betul-betul. Yea, I didn't intentionally took off my shoes for the photo or whatnot. My wonderful shoes were killing me, so I walked barefoot on the railway track and the OP took a candid pic of us walking. I couldn't feel my toes that night, nasib baek ade tukang urut. :Pp/s: I'm eternally grateful for everything. Alhamdulillah.
