of.a getaway.&.me.

I think that I need sometime off from work, ya know, a short getaway or something to unwind for a bit. I'm planning to have a wee bit of that during our family weekend trip to Cameron later - the crowd and traffic won't be pretty as it's the weekend + school holidays, but since I'm not driving, I'll suck it up and live with it.

Anyway, the weekend was eventful for me. Cooked pasta for C***, made a batch of caramel popcorn for our movie time on Saturday (it has been ages since the last time we went out to catch a movie, but being with the other half + homemade popcorn will do jugak lah). Had a good eat out and a shopping spree on Sunday.

Bought some cute cardigan, tops and sweater for the little precious from Mothercare(on sale yo!) - as the ones that we have (which were bought by my parents during their various jalan-jalan trips) are currently over-sized, mau lagi few months or probably a year baru leh pakai kot. T_T

Managed to satisfy my crave over pearl milk tea and cinnamon rolls. I heart cinnamon. Hmpp..cinnamon caramel popcorn sounds good kan? :P

On a lighter note, the new ride is here, Alhamdulillah - tho I can't say it's a dream comes true, as yes, I've been wanting a new ride, but it's just that, it's not what I want. I'll take it as a sacrifice on my part lah, so that we'll be able to get our hands on a better something later. he he.

So yea, something gotta give but fret not, after all it's just a ride for me to drive to work, which is like less than 50km daily - so no use of wasting too much moolah on it - talks about being a grown up with a family, you'll learn to prioritize. :)

On another lighter note, it feels a bit strange to be driving a compact car when you've been driving a big car for so long. Rasa seperti cartoon.

Talks about car, now hafta get the fixing and painting of the 4wd sorted out asap so that we could sent it back to Kedah - else how lah to keep 4 cars since we only have 3 parking bays. (p/s: Darling cousin, if ya reading this, if ada ternampak C*** car parked at your parking tu, ampun maaf dipinta, tumpang saaaat. :D Kalau nak guna, roger okeh. )

The PILs are going back to Malacca for MIL's checkup sometime later, guess who hafta babysit the baby since the mummy can't take leave sebab tengah UAT? :P Yey C***! Fret not darling, you'll be just fine.

Have a great week. Ciou.

of.weekend, pet peeves.&.me.

So, we went back to Malacca during the weekend, without C*** - again. T_T

Had MIL's ayam bali and fatty food during SIL's house warming on Sunday, yeah, I did nothing but makan. Like what's new about that kan? Makan is like one of the things to do once you're back in kampung.

Owh, I've finally come to term with the fact that Myra gonna turn into one fussy little eater whenever we're away from home. So yea, she only allowed herself to be fed with oat + banana or oat + fig +raisins and the usual organic baby biscuits besides her susu. Well, as long as she's eating, then fine lah.

Bought Myra a mini baby pool which can be converted into a mini balls pit, together with a bag of colorful mini balls (100 of em all together) in Tesco which cost me less than RM60 (what a cheapskate mum to do, plus I don't think she gonna be amused with it for long, murah-murah sudah, benda yang fun is not necessarily expensive :P ) - only to realize that I forgot to get my hands on a pump to inflate the pool. Kalau tiup sendiri, ade yang pengsan pulak, so the pool hafta wait. T_T

C***'s back last night. *hugs*

I desperately in need of a bunch of new clothes. The paycheque's in, ape lagi? he he.

On a totally unrelated note, I detest people who can't freaking park in their stupid parking lot. Like, what's your problem? Tak nampak kah the terang tak payah nak bersuluh white lines itu, park within em, will ya? Owh, this goes especially to a macik, the owner of a white mpv. Only last week, I came home to find this macik driving her car into the parking lot, since I hafta park mine next to hers, I stopped for a sec and gave her some time to park dulu lah kan? I noticed lah her ridiculous parking skill tu sebab at that moment, her ride was like a few inches into my lot, ingatkan dia nak adjust, tetapi..tidak. T_T

Dengan muka toya, went out of the car and walked away. Oih, I felt like giving her a good honking, tetapi saya hormat orang tua (& it's due to the fact that the car's honking sound is sorta loud that ianya boleh membuatkan orang kena heart attack, kes naya pulak nanti). T_T

So yea, imagine lah my ultimate skill of getting out of the car whilst acting like I'm some sort of escape artist and as thin as a paper - I can't simply park sesuka hati, nanti termakan space org yang lagi sebelah pulak( & then it gonna make me "the macik yang tak reti park kereta the 2nd") and it's not helping that I was driving C***'s big car yang obviously big.

Well, if ya wondering, this is not the 1st time, it's just that the last week's incident adelah the best ever, sungguh epic. Like how ignorant could you be? It's like throwing rubbish into someone's lawn when ya know they're watching.Might as well say "Saya tumpang buang sampah kat rumah awak yerrrr?". Such guts.

Macik, I hate yuuuhh.

You're lucky that I'm not a lioness else I'll give ya car a good scratching. You're also lucky that I'm this *holding 2 fingers closely together* to punch a hole into your car, tapi tak jadi. Grr grr...

On a 2nd thought, maybe I should write her a note or something.

"Dear Macik, if you're suffering from acute blindness, please don't drive"

Sincerely,
Your loving parking bay neighbor.

Well, have a great week.

of.the balik kampung.&.me.

We spent our long weekend in Kedah - like finally! :P

Planned to start the long drive back early on the Friday morn but our long trip started sometime after 11am instead(it's like real hard to do the usual get up-pack our bag-and-drive routine within the intended time-frame now that we have the baby). Ye lah, dulu both of us dengan pantas boleh siap, now ya have to bathe the baby, feed her breakfast, drag our bags which are twice as much now. Then we could lenggang kangkung with a bag each, now? 4 bags, minimum.

How la to travel light like this?

So yea, we reached my parents place by 3pm. Moi parents were excited to see their beloved cucu so was the Paksu(aka the little brother) lah. Had an extravagance lunch (sampai confuse tatau nak makan lauk yang mana satu, dah la I'm the type yang reti nak mix up my lauk - so much so I had to divide my place of rice in quarters so that I could have a taste of semua lauk. Lauk here stands for the ikan and the meat, veges not included, sayur boleh pulak campuq. T_T )

Since C*** is a big fan of curry, he obviously enjoyed the fish head curry (which was in his food-wishlist, each time balik sp jer, mak mertua dia(otherwise known as my mum) sah2 la buat curry, macam tau2 je.)

Me on the other hand, was more than happy to see the masak lemak ketam nenas. Oih and yeah, the ikan bakar and the ape tah lagi? The next day pulak, came the udang galah besaq pinggan. Such a nice way to fail in maintaining a good diet. Owh well?

Whilst we're enjoying the food, I can't say the same thing bout Myra as she refused her porridge. T_T

Dah mai dah perangai tanak makan dia - tho we brought along her portable chair which she refused to sit on. I think it has something to do with her being in a new place as the same goes when we were in Malacca weeks back. She was more excited in exploring the place rather than eating - which explains why she only accepted hand-fed banana for breakfast and rice + grilled salmon for lunch and baby organic biscuits in between- whilst climbing on the sofa in the living hall.

Perhaps we really should consider the idea of getting 2 extra high chairs for both kampung, one in Kedah and another one in Malacca. Ya know, the high chair = meal time. Daddy, next week, mari lah pi beli. Your treat. :P

Moving on,on Saturday, we managed to visit my grandma who was thrilled to be able to see her cicit since it has been quite sometime since the last time. :)

Long story short, once we're back in KL, Myra's back to her normal happy-eater self and both of the parents pulak hafta get back to work.

Getting back to work after a long weekend = owh malas.

Hmpp..I'm so going to drag our little family for a cuti-cuti after this.

of.ww.&.me.

of.the 9th month.&.me.

I think it has become a norm for me to post a write up on Myra's milestones approximately 2 weeks before she turns a month older. hi hi. What to do, her geeky mommy adelah busy.

So here goes, at 9 months and 16 days

o1. She still loves to pull her neng yatimah act each time I'm about to get off to work. I think she could tell that I'm going away as I'll have the tudung on. hi hi. So yea, whenever she sees me with my tudung, she'll get pretty restless and cranky, knowing that she might kena tinggal, yet again.

02. Still no gigi. Period.

o3. Is turning to be pretty selective when it comes to food. Previously ape sumbat semua okay, now whenever she detest the food, mula la dia nak gosok mata la, buat-buat tak nampak the food coming la, tepis-tepis la. Haih. I think her food selection won't be as limited as it is right night provided dia ade gigi, which she doesn't, owh well?

o4. She now beginning to cruise around in her baby cot - which is the only place that's considered safe - living hall is a big no no - tho sometimes terlepas lah jugak as she'll cruise from one end of the sofa to another.

o5. She loves Elmo - so mummy hafta download like tonnes of Elmo videos into the tablet to keep her happy.

o6. One of the ways to keep her quite is to recite the selawat/zikir or simply turn on the tv masa tengah azan - she'll stop whatever she's doing and stay still like a statue. :)

o7. She loves her mommy, but adores her daddy. Bila daddy balik, berdesup merangkak nak suruh daddy dukung okay? Tsk tsk. Dah jalan nanti, harus lah berlari.

o8. She's like so manjaaaaaaaaaa. So much so, tengah elok-elok bergelak ketawa, tetiba tukar tune jadi mengada. Sometimes you'll be like "Myra, are you laughing or crying nih?" T_T The same goes when you caught her waking up on her own, like if ya left her sleeping in her baby cot, then if she awakes & nobody's around, she'll sometimes entertain herself lah, belek-belek ape-ape yang ada, but the moment she saw ya walking into the room, teruih la uwaaaa. Sungguh drama. Anak sapa la ni?

o9. Still a bf baby alright. 3 months more to go before hitting the 1 year mark. Go mommy go! :P( Uih, mommy dah ade tiga bp nih - C*** was like "Why do you need that much bp?How many boob do you have again?"-, harus lah meneruskan usaha, else guess who akan menaga? haha)

10. Finally grasped the idea of waving = bye bye. he he. Now that she knows how to wave, adelah super cute (mummy dok masak kat dapur pon nak babai) - but it's not like I could see her waving me off to work - sebab pegi keja senyap-senyap to avoid the separation-anxiety drama. :P

That's about it, will write more later.

of.the weekend.&.me.

We finally got to spend the weekend together. Daddy, mummy and Myra. :)

C*** has been busy going in and out of the country for the past 2 months that it has been quite sometime since the three of us got to go out jalan-jalan and just enjoy each other's company - which is what I love most.

So yea, we decided to go out after lunch on Saturday but got somewhat delayed since the little princess had a longer than usual nap(we let her be as it's never a good idea to go out with a cranky sleepy baby.he he) so we only reached KLCC around 5pm.

Well, tho KLCC is one of the nearest malls to our place - compared to OU, MidV, The curve and whatnot, but it has been ages since the last time we went there. So imagine our surprise lah bila some of the shops are no longer where they used to be. hihi.

First thing first, we headed straight to Maxis since we need to switch our mobile plans - which ended up with a rather amazing discovery. C***'s name has been used to register an account years back which has been deactivated but it has an eye-popping outstanding fees which hafta be settled by nobody else but C***. T_T

But, fortunately, the registered address didn't match C***'s address etc. So yea, later we hafta drag our sorry asses to the police to log a fraud case - in order to waive the outstanding fees - which if ya ask me, adelah menyusahkan hidup when it's not even our fault to begin with. Kataaa canggih, tetiba boleh pulak boleh allow those sort of manipulations. Haih.

Sooo..the sucky part is, we can't do anything with our account, not until the issues are cleared - which might take them like what? 2-3 freaking months. Awesome possum lah Maxis.

To cure his heartbreak, C*** got himself a new pair of jeans - after much persuasions on my behalf. This other half of mine and his never ending issues of spending his own dough for himself. hi hi. :)

We bought some pretzels and cream puff for tea after a quick pit stop at Isetan's baby room - as the little one wanted her dose of susu. Wanted to buy some new toys for Myra but the Toy r us is no longer where it used to be and we were too lazy to find its whereabout.

We later stopped for yong tau fu in Melawati, our local giant for groceries and reached home sometime after 9pm. After a hot bath, the little one pon tertidu, leaving the parents nursing themselves with fatty foods. Bliss. :)

♥of.the 1st.&.me.♥

Today's the end of yet another long weekend(HELLO miserable morning traffic!) - thanks to the public holidays, so yea, the next one gonna be in what? May?

Well, we went back to Malacca, without C*** for the 1st time - and am not planning to do it again. It's like balik kampung without the orang kampung. It felt different, but I lived.

Myra was attacked by the nyamok as usual - not that I wasn't equipped will all sort of nyamok-killing stuff, I even got us the all-natural ubat nyamok (mungkin terlebih natural sampai tak berkesan, I even spotted few nyamok in the gel container, I thought it's suppose to halau the nyamok, not attract them to it.Urghh), I even sprayed the room with fumakila segala before bedtime and whatnot, tatapiii...the nyamok still managed to have countless bites of me and Myra. Talks about nyamok zaman sekarang, maybe sudah mutated to super-nyamok.

So yea, the little precious is looking rather spotty. he he. Among all the traits that she inherited from me, why lah it includes the super-sensitive-t0-nyamok-bites skin (& not the dimple?). A tiny nyamok bite will make the skin swells macam digigit naga, not pretty. She'd be better off with her daddy's amazing nyamok-proof skin. Owh well. Enough complaining.

Besides the nyamok, everything else was rather dandy. The little precious got daily visit from her arrays of fans - her little second cousins. They came over to PIL house as early as 8am to play with her and took like 100010 pictures. he he. Myra loves the attention tho she'd sometime went ek ek after realizing that her mummy's not around. Oih, dah banyak dayang-dayang pon nak mummy jugaakk.

A note to self, must bring her convertible rocker-chair during balik kampung next time as she's been eating rather poorly without her high-chair . Punya la susah nak kasi makan if ya just put her on your lap. Now that she's so mobile, she'll wiggle herself free pehtu sebok nak memanjat segala. Oih..mak stress nak. She was basically living on milk and fruits throughout the weekend as I'd stuff her with banana/dragon fruits whenever possible as more often than not,she refused to stay still for porridge.

Owh, but fret not, she's back to her usual good-eater self when we got back home on Monday. So all is well.

On a lighter note, little brother has been calling me daily, from India. Yesterday he called, told me that he bought me a yellow saree.(Yellowww??? I hope it's not in one of those blinding tones) ha ha. I intentionally skipped from answering his 'kakak-nak-saree-color-apa?' question from him earlier, as I've been wanting to see his taste in choosing those kinda stuff. Ya know, since our dad has an awesome taste when it comes to fabrics and whatnot, so mari lah tengok whether his only son pon sama or not. :P

C*** on the other hand, will be back, bearing tonnes of teh botol, I hope. I'm a sucker for jasmine tea hence the love for teh botol. :)

That's about it, hope that we'll be able to have a trip back to Kedah in a week or two. I'm missing my parents quite miserably - and they've been complaining about not being able to see Myra for more than a month now. Sob.

Have a good short working week (again!).

Tata.

of.the new week.&.me.

Us,at an organic shop, somewhere.

Me: "Dear look, organic alphabet pasta!"
C***: "Hmpp..colorful."
Me: "Let's buy em for Myra okay, cute lah pasta abc, pastu color macam-macam..yada yada"
C***: "So..lepas makan ni, terus terer abc lah?"
Me: T_T

Guys, they just can't appreciate cute stuff as much we do, yes? :P

Owh, my C*** is back. 2 long weeks without the other half is kinda miserable for me. I miss having someone to talk to after a long day at work - not like I can't talk to someone else, but it's just different. Talking to C*** is like talking without thinking(ya know what I mean?), it goes naturally, without any sort of filtering or whatnot.

After all, our relationship kicked start on those hours spent talking to each other years back.

So am I thankful to finally have my C*** back? Owh yea. :P

On a lighter note, our little precious is 9 month young today! Alhamdulillah. (This calls for a cake, but just for the mummy and daddy of coz.)

She got her 2nd dose of pneumococcal shot last week. She's doing fine, tho her paed was a bit concerned on her slow weight gain. Which got me thinking that I should stop her usual oatmeal menu and supply her with more milk. Yer lah, she's been eating well and whatnot, cuma berat je tak macam dipam-pam and selalunya orang nak lose weight makan oat lah kan? ha ha.

My bad, the mum unintentionally put her 9 month old sweetheart on a diet. So yea, no more oatmeal for her for the time being. She needs all the fatty goodness in the world for now. Say hello to cheese. :P

Owh she loves her baby-version of mashed potato. White potatoes + sweet potatoes + pumpkin + a small dollop of unsalted butter and cheeeese. Serve em warm. Nyummeh.

Talking bout her weight, if ya ask me, I think it's in the genes. Both of her parents adelah sorta scrawny when we were little(I stopped being scrawny during high school and the same goes for C***), but look at us now! Bagaikan johan. T_T

That's about it. Have a great week - tho it just gonna be another short working week for yours truly.

Tata.

of.the 1st day.&.me.

The 1st day at work after a long weekend is bleh. Like yea, especially when you ended up coming to a half empty office - so demotivating.

Well, the holiday was sorta well spent - tho I was initially hoping for a trip up North - I got to have like tonnes of Myra&Mummy time with the little one. It's heart-warming that she'd just be quite whilst we're on the bed, cuddling. Ya know, it's amazing when the little one's starting to learn how to be manja and all that. hi hi. Yea, I'm a mum, excuse my I'm-easily-amazed-ness.

January has been a lucky month for us (awesome way to start a year ey?) , we won a month supply of Huggies for Myra(to add up to her piling supply of diapers, tho we half expected the diapers to be our usual Huggies Ultra, but it ended up to be the one in red, the dry comfort thingy, owh well, boleh lah. Benda free.) and I got my hands on free movie tickets. It's nothing much really, but it's amusing to find yourself getting stuff for free - over nothing. An indicator of a prosperous year perhaps? Alhamdulillah. :)

I'd like to think that I've grown up to be someone self-sufficient but I'm missing my other half, terribly. Well, C***, I hope you're not reading this. :P

Myra loves kiwi. hi hi. (Why do I have to write stuff bout Myra in each post? Errr..) Introduced her to gold kiwi(the normal one tend to be a wee bit masam, I don't wanna risk her sakit perot) last weekend and she loves em.

MIL complimented her good palate - which obviously inherited from her parents yang suka makan, plus I think it's due to the fact that she's a bf baby, a bf baby adelah sangat bagus when it comes to variety of food since she's been familiarized with em thru the milk . I mean, at 8 months, she'd eat almost everything that I prepared for her. Today she's having quinoa + broccoli + tofu + carrot + pumpkin.

Owh, I finally introduced her to ikan bilis. To tell ya the truth, I don't really favour the idea of ikan bilis for babies as it's on the salty side. So yea, the ocd mummy, went ahead and soaked the little fishes overnight before frying em up in a wee bit of olive oil before grinding them.

Talking bout the fishes, it reminded me of our conversation

Me: " Orang letak ikan bilis dlm porridge baby, tapi sikit jer."
C*** : "Apesal sikit?"
Me: " 1st time lah kasi, takot dia allergic, nanti susah pulak."
C*** : "Ade ke orang allergic ikan bilis? Tak penah dengar pulak."
Me: T_T

I'm too paranoid for my own good, but only on certain stuff, else I'm pretty much adventurous lah. Seriously. :P

I'm looking forward to get myself some nice stuff this year(a new ride included, tho we hafta down-sized a little, owh well? I don't mind as long as we'll be able to reach our goal), ya know, for the past 8 months, I'd usually spent my paycheque for the little one, now that I think we've got everything covered, let's start to spend on things for ourselves lah pulak, tho I doubt that I'll stop buying stuff for the little one. People in the baby stuff industry are evil I tell ya, they tempt ya with cute stuff like all the time. Urgh.

That's about it. Have a great (short) working week people.

of.the 8th month.&.me.

Myra gonna turn 9 months in 10 days - then the mummy baru terhegeh-hegeh nak update on her 8 month milestones.

Here it goes,

o1. Separation anxiety, yes she got it. It hard for her to see me off to work without breaking into tears. Don't cry for me Argentina, err..Myra.

o2. She had her 1st jatuh-katil moment, ya, it's a milestone. I think my heart skipped a beat that night - tho she escaped with nothing but a tiny bruise on her upper lip (yer, dia tergolek terkena her toiletries basket that I happened to put on the floor next to our bed) and I swear to myself to never let her sleep on our bed alone anymore. Now once she's asleep, she gonna be transferred to her baby cot.

o3. She's good in eating. I've introduced her to yogurt, quinoa, tofu and some other stuff and she's fine with em. Her current favourite is homemade mango yogurt with oatmeal for dinner. She also loves her salmon - tapi lepas tu bila kiss kiss, bau ikan. :P

o4. She's like sooo manja now, every morning, she'd wake up and crawl over to me (she usually wakes up in our bed as I'll bring her in bed with us when she wakes up for her morning feed, which usually around 5-6am) and sondol-sondol until her head rested on my chest, tummy or celah ketiak.ha ha. The famous saying of 'suka duduk celah ketiak mak' is somewhat true. :)

o5. She (finally) calls me mama! Yey! Yea, it's for real now. Previously I thought that the 'mama' thingy is just one of her various blabbers. But these days, she'll scream(yea, she screams) mama when she sees me back from work or when I suddenly disappear from her sight or when I walk right in front of her and refuse to pick her up. Sungguh dia pantang if balik kerja tak dukung dia, lagi lah dia scream for her mama dengan penuh drama. Eh, it rhymes! :P

o6. She could stand whilst holding to something with one hand, and yesterday I caught her trying to stand by herself, tapi of coz lah tidak berjaya .hihi

o7. It's hard for her to stay still, so much so it takes tonnes of perseverance to put on her clothes and diapers - the same goes when changing her soiled diapers. Baru jer nak basuh her bum, dah laju dia bangun nak crawl.Aaaa..the horror.

o8. Still no gigi. Gigi dimana kau gigi, tho her toothless grin seems to be harmless, but if kena geget still adelah sakit. Yea, don't underestimate the gum okie.

o9. She's still a bf baby. She takes 3ozx5 bottles of ebm whilst I'm away at work - besides her solid food. :) Yea,I'm thankful for the rezeki. Let's see if we'll be able to hit the 1 year mark in April. hi hi.

1o. She likes to copy stuff that you do. Last night,I was in bed, watching tv whilst scratching an itch on my arm, suddenly she crawled over to me and rubbed my arm on the same spot.hihi. Baik hati sungguh nak tolong garukan mummy.

Well, I'm eternally grateful for our healthy and happy baby.

Mummy & daddy love ya baby, like a lot.♥♥♥♥♥

of.the job.&.me.

.Owh happiness.

I feel like puking from too much programming.(Hey it rhymes!) T_T

of.the new year.&.me.

I know. I know. We're already in the 2nd week of the new year but I still shy away from the usual new year resolution post.

Owh well, I've decided not to write one this year due to its- not- suitable- for- public nature. Okay fine, I'm just plain malas, but personally I do want to be better. A better servant, a better wife, a better mother, a better daughter, a better sister,a better friend and a better employee.

2011 has been a great year for me, Alhamdulillah. Got promoted at home(I'm now a wife and a mum.Yey!), at work( a senior geek now yo!). Went through a humbling experience aka beranak-yang-macam-serik-but-I'll-do-it-again-anyway and we've been blessed with Myra and life's never the same again - err.. in a good way of course and it's true that having a baby brings the marriage to whole new level.

Like, you'll be more sehati and sejiwa (like stealing glance at each other over something that only both of ya can understand) and you'll argue less on where and what to have for dinner when you're eating out sebab takot budak kecik mengamok kalau lambat-lambat sangat. Okay, that's too shallow of an example, but ya know what I mean? :P

Well, truthfully, I have nothing specific to rant about, so let's be random for a bit.

Myra turned 8 months 10 days ago. Alhamdulillah. She's one healthy and happy baby and I couldn't ask for more. (Yes, her 8th month milestones coming up, err..later.)

My 1st day of the year was celebrated (or should I say, spent?) with darling C*** and Myra, with a home-cooked pasta lunch with fresh white mushrooms, baby asparagus and our favourite mussels in creamy garlic sauce (I could finish up kilos of em if ya let me) and dessert at the Alexis, the fattylicious chocolate mixed berries meringue. What a 'healthy' way to start a year.

After much procrastination on our side, we've decided to get our hands on some gadgets. I mean, dah penat-penat keja, dah dapat paycheque, mari lah beli benda-benda yang lagha sket, yes?

I have like tonnes of stuff to do at work. So much so that I keep on thinking bout em whilst on my way back from work and tetiba I'm already at home. Yea, there are like so much stuff on my mind that I'm driving on autopilot. Scary.

I'm desperately in need of new working attires, like yea, it has been years of I-dress-casually-to-work that I rarely bothers to update my array of baju skema for work, tapi sekarang tidak lagi.

Moving to the new office is a blessing as I get to reach home before 7pm tho obviously it comes with a price, the toll fees, the ridiculous parking fees and the boring food. Owh well? At least I'll get to spend more time at home rather than on the road.

Myra tends to get rashes on her cheek and chin sometimes and it sadden me to see her spotty face - so much so that I bought her a bottle of baby facial cream(which actually cost more than my own). Haih, kids these days, kecik-kecik dah ada facial cream segala. If it were me 27 years ago, maybe pakai cornstarch je kot?

Tho having a mini-us is awesome in so many levels and in so many ways, but I just can't sleep in anymore these days, not even during the weekend since Myra's such a morning person. Sleep deprived much?

C*** is such a darling. Yes he is. His ganas look is somewhat misleading. :x

I don't know bout you, but I'm a big fan of seasonal fruits, namely cherry and pulasan.

I'm hoping that we'll be able to find our own place this year. Ya know, the one with the right location and the right price tag. Ya Allah, permudahkan lah.

We're into homemade mango lassi these days - it's way better than those in bottles. Mango + natural yogurt + fresh milk/fresh cream + honey/sugar. C*** could finish up a tub of em in a jiffy. Myra loves it too - tho her version of mango lassi only consist of mango + natural yogurt.

This year, I'm planning to travel for a bit. Probably after Myra turned one - since I'm like the most travel-deprived person ever. Oih.

The boss previously asked whether I'm willing to travel abroad for work - which obviously gained a big fat NO answer from me. Well, the baby's too small to be without her mum. Kalau sehari dua takpe(takpe ke? he he), but it's more like months since it's a project-based stuff. How ironic.

That's about it. Have a fabulous year people. :)

of.the lost.&.me.

I've been stalling from writing bout one particular matter since forever. No, Myra's not going to get any sibling anytime soon or the sort. he he. Let's wait for another year (or probably two) for that.

I digress.

Okay, I've been stalling from writing bout something since writing it makes me feel like I'm finally admitting to the fact that it's finally gone, for good. Lost, never to be found again.

It feels like I'm giving up on hope - to ever find it again.

Well, this is beyond crappy, I've lost my ring, my freaking wedding ring. It went missing sometime months ago, whilst we were in Malacca for our weekend balik kampung.

I am sure that I didn't misplaced it as I rarely take it off sesuka hati, so I reckon that it just slipped off my finger - yea, it's a loose fitting(especially after we're blessed with Myra, BF helps me to lose weight, apparently on the fingers T_T ) - which is my bad as I didn't get the chance to get it re-sized.

So yea, I've come to term with the fact that it's gone now, that our jodoh ended and it's no longer my rezeki.

C***'s sorta cool about it - dah hilang nak buat macam mane? -tho he'd mock me bout losing it sometimes.

He didn't offer for a replacement, but paid for one anyway when were at the jewelery shop last week - as I wanted to look for a simple ring as a token of remembrance of the missing one(sob sob) - which didn't come cheap tapi tu lah

tho we could absolutely afford a much better one this time (sebab not in a cheapskate mood compared to how we were last time sebab takot terover budget nak kawen),

tho C*** cheekily put the new ring on my finger right after he paid for it together with the tacky "Will you marry me?" line right in front of the crowd - imagine a guy with a baby(Myra was in the babyBjorn), asking ya to marry him ALOUD. Yeah, sure darling. :x

Yea, I know. All the ring in this world could never replace the missing one - tho we did see one of rather similar pattern. Sama tapi tak serupa, yes?

I might not sound that upset now, I was and still am but my sane mind decided not to go meroyan about it. After all, I still own the person that gave me the ring.

All is well, all is well.

of.wordless Wednesday #5.&.me.

of.the 7th month.&.me.

I've been having so much on my plate these days - both at work(new project, meetings, codings) and at home(masak, sterilize Myra's stuff, Myra, house chores, darling C*** to be taken care of). So much so that I couldn't find much time to update but since I owed myself another Myra's milestones post, I still hafta get it done, yes?

Slacking in updating the little precious's milestones would be such a shame ya know, this is like the progress of my 1st newborn (nothing beats the 1st time I tell ya), haruslah di-engravekan into the cyber world for like forever. he he.

So yea, at 7 months and 14 days she could basically

o1. Roams the entire living hall as she pleases. She's our little crawling expert. Now ya see her in front of the tv and few secs later, ya don't - sebab dia dah ade di bawah dining table.

o2. She's so talk-active, or should I say, babble-active? She knows how to say mamam and mama now. Tho I'm not sure whether she could really relate the word mama to yours truly yet - but my heart still melts each time she does anyway.

o3. She still has a bald patch at the back of her head from the shaving during her kenduri akikah. I mean, her hair is definitely getting longer everyday but those on the tiny baldy patch. Owh takpe lah.Hair grows - tho in her case, rather slowly.

o4. She's doing fine with solid food. Oatmeal and banana is still her favourite as she could finish up 4oz of em in few minutes. I've introduced her to fish(salmon+ brown rice + zucchini + carrot)and chicken(brown rice + pumpkin + chicken) within the past 2 weeks and there's no allergy reaction whatsoever to fish, yea fish, ayam ade sedikit allergic but nothing major. Alhamdulillah. Now it gets more interesting to experiment on solids. So much so that she gets to enjoy freshly cooked meal everyday. :D

o5. She's currently taking 3oz x 5 bottles of EBM from 9am-7pm besides her solid lunch, early dinner and a rare 8pm snacks (which is usually fruit related or rice crackers - which she loves to throw around for us to pick up).

o6. Now that she's an expert in crawling, she's currently learning to stand up. Most of the time she'd find something to hold on to and pushes herself up on her tiny wobbly feet. hihi. Which is cute, sampaikan mummy dia yang dok baring-baring pon abis la menjadi tempat berpegang.

o7. She loves to bounce. She'd be bouncing away (if ya ever so rajin to hold on to her and help her to stand up) as if she's on an imaginary trampoline. Bounce bounce bounce.

o8. She knows how to express herself rather clearly. Sad pouty face whilst sending me off to work and smiley face whilst bouncing happily (together with her endless babbles) when I'm home from work. :)

o9. It has been probably more than 2 month since she's been introduced to sippy cup and she seems to be doing fine with it - provided it's the Tomme Tippe Explora sippy cup as the others spill proof cups require too much efforts and she loves the soft silicone spout which doesn't requires any sucking, she could just bite em to control the liquid flow. Ya, she still hates sucking (everything but the 'real one' yo). :P

10. She's currently wearing 9-12 months clothes. Ya, she's not much of a chubby baby, but she's a tall one. Her 6-9months clothes are ill-fitting. Seluar senteng, baju dah nampak pusat. The more reasons for mummy to shop. :D

I know it's sorta corny on how a baby would turn ya life upside down and whatnot. It has been 7 months of a roller coaster ride, but I'm loving it.

Owh baby, what I've been doing without you.

Stop growing up too fast and please stay good for mummy.

of.the weekend.&.me.

I took a half day off on Friday after receiving a call from C***. His grand aunt passed away so we went back to Malacca for a visit.

Thanks to the 'amazing' Friday traffic. We only managed to reach there after the families were done with the burial.

I hafta admit that I never get the chance to really know the grand aunt tho she lived probably few house away from the PIL's.

The next day was spent at a kenduri, the same goes on Sunday except for a quick jalan-jalan to the night market for our favourite Pacik Bongkok's meaty murtabak.

It's surely ain't healthy, but if we were to get fat, let's make it due something awesome, yes?

Sometime this week, I'm going to drag C*** out for Subway(it's our once in 2 weeks treat, too much of Subway pon bukannya sihat - especially if ya the kind who goes for nothing but Subway melt. he he) and glasses.

Yes, I'm rabun (there I said it again), but has been way too proud for glasses but I guess that age is catching up with me and I sorta need em especially for night driving.

Talking bout food,I need to stock up on Myra's organic stuff too as I'm all out of frozen purees for the little one. Now she's living on oatmeal + banana and brown rice + pumpkin + raisins - on top of her usual doses of EBM. he he. Sungguh kesian.

I'm planning to introduce her to chicken soup or salmon later this weekend. Can't wait. One of the pleasures in life is seeing your little one enjoying your home cooked meals - tho it's just oatmeal banana and raisins. :)

Yea, I'm such a macik. I know.

Owh, let's ramble bout our east coast trip for a bit.

For a start, it was like the longest drive ever (it gonna takes me another few years to recover from the shock of it.he he. Mak insaf nak.) - so much so I ended up with a sore back throughout our stay in T'ganu. Well, it was probably due to the fact that Myra was a wee bit restless in her baby seat and decided that being cuddled by mummy adelah lebih asyikkkk.

So yea, a bumpy long trip whilst holding a 7kg baby is a recipe for an awesome sore back.

Okay lah, to be fair, I have nothing against the long drive, tetapi the roads are sucky. Like seriously, now that they don't have any highway in the area, at least sila lah fix the roads.

The bumpy roads aside, our trip was a fun one. We got to attend a dear cousin wedding (Selamat pengantin baru!) and we ate a lot (what's new with that?).

I think that I ate like a week ration of rice in the span of 3 days. Like yea, people in T'ganu take rice even for breakfast, nasi berlauk, nasi kerabu, nasi dagang, nasi lemak. Ya name it, they got it.

Tho I usually take my rice only for lunch and dinner, but throughout the stay, merasa lah makan nasi during every meal - together with an assortment of super sweet kuih - which includes the curry puff. he he.

It's good to be able to make it to the wedding, to spend time with the family. Even my grandma and parents were there - which goes without saying lah the little one menjadi pujaan ramai. There were so many people around to entertain her. :)

Minus the sore back, it's a weekend well spent - but we're so going to take the plane if we were to go there again. :P

of.the birthday.&.me.

Our weekend started early last week. Mine started on Thursday as we agreed to have sometime off from work to celebrate the other half's birthday and as preparation for our weekend long trip.

Owh, happy birthday love, I love you to bits. :x

So yea, C***'s birthday celebration started early as he was kicked in the rib by his birthday present sometimes after subuh. Yea, he got a 6 months baby (which fortunately his) to be taken care of as a birthday present - as I hafta get ready for my half day work. :P

Yea, the PIL were away on a trip somewhere out of the country, so we sorta takes turn to look after the baby - which was sorta overwhelming at 1st as it gonna be C***'s 1st time to take care of the baby all by himself. Like ya darling, I know we promised to hold on to the 'sharing is caring' thing, but now you're on your own. he he. Keji sungguh bully birthday boy jaga anak. ha ha.

Owh well, Myra's his baby to begin with, somehow he hafta know how to take care of her aight? As I'm not big into the whole bila-ada-anak-mak-jaga-bapak-goyang-kaki thing. I mean, as much as the baby would prefer the mum compared to the dad, tapi bapak kenalah pandai jaga anak in case of anything.

So yeah, I prepared a light meal for the daddy, chilled EBM in bottles and a small jar of oatmeal with sweet potato and apple for the baby before dashing off to work.

Honestly, I was fidgeting on my seat throughout the hours. I mean, Myra adores her daddy(tengah cranky tengok muka daddy terus senyum) but she could be a wee bit tough sometimes, suka mengada-ngada tak tentu pasal, refusing to be bottle-fed etc. C*** did warn me of the possibility of him showing up in front of the office if Myra gets a wee bit too hard to handle, but the dreaded calls didn't come and C*** didn't make any emergency visit to the office, so yeah, everything's dandy ey?

To cut long story short, I finally reached home sometimes before 3 after I'm finished with work and the spa. Yes, I went for a much needed spa treatment. Orang lain punya birthday, orang lain yang pegi spa. :P

Well, I'm one of the reasons why he got his 6 months old birthday gift at the 1st place aight? So yea, the bearer of the gift got herself a gift as well and C***'s all cool bout it. Thanks love :x

Owh, so yea, I got back home to a comot baby and an equally comot looking daddy - but let's not have a picture of that. :P

Minus the comotness, everything was fine. Alhamdulillah. Yey daddy! :D

Moving on with the next best thing on the agenda, adelah our romantic dinner for 3. I initially thought of surprising C*** with a fine dining at a fine restaurant somewhere, but a fine dining with a 6 months old (sometimes screaming her lugs out) baby won't be that fine of an idea.

Yer lah, kang semua orang in the restaurant nak beromantika diamour, ade pulak budak kecik dok bising terjerit2 menangis segala. In respect of others who wish to dine in peace, I ditched the idea as it would be too much of a hassle. I'd probably revisit the idea in a few years.

The next best thing is to have a dinner buffet somewhere fancy and to make it a wee bit different than our usual dinner buffet, I made a reservation for a Japanese dinner buffet instead. he he. Yes, darling, it's a cue for you to take us to Japan once Myra's big enough. I'm being straight forward over here. :P

Tho Myra won't be able to enjoy the buffet spread, at least we could eat at our own pace and still gonna be able to entertain her when she gets a wee bit restless. Bawak pusing-pusing tengok makanan pon okay lah kan?

So yea, the dinner went well. We ate a lot, like what's new with that? :P

Well, I didn't bring any food for Myra as I already fed her an early dinner but we let her munch on pieces of fruits instead - on the top of her usual dose of BF.

We headed back home sometime before 11pm after a brief stroll.

It's a fun day, a happy birthday alright. :D

Owh, the next day we headed to the East coast for our long weekend. I'll ramble bout it later, if I feel like it. :P

Eh, our little precious is 7 months young today(will write bout her milestones later too). :x How time flies. Sob.

Owh,Ciou.

of.not so wordless Wednesday.&.me.

I'm supposed to come up with a WW entry, but I feel like rambling for a bit. :P

Well, we went to see the Paed for another vaccination for Myra yesterday, based on her current height, weight and whatnot, she seems to be doing great in the growing up department. Tho her weight gain is on the minimum side as she just can't stay still these days. She cried for a bit after the shot and the Paed prescribed us with a small bottle of multivits for Myra - and that little mini-us loves it tho the syrup reminded of us of those yucky cough syrup. Ape jer la yang dia tak suka? Ni mesti ikot perangai daddy nih. :P

Owh, her next paed's visit is for her pneumococcal vac - which gonna be sometime next month.

Someone's birthday is coming next week and I'm ever so ready to celebrate. Woot! A japanese buffet dinner for 2 pleasee..err..3.

We have two or probably three weddings to attend during the weekend and somehow I'm so going to squeeze the Clark's warehouse sale and Baby's expo in. Another shopping spree I see. :P

We're going for a long trip to the east coast sometimes next week for a cousin wedding. I'm a bit nervous as it's going to be a very very long drive - which is even longer than our usual drive back to Kedah - and I'm hoping that it's going to be breezy for the baby. Kot dia dah restless and throw tantrum, 10 minutes drive pon dah ngeri. he he.

Talking about the trip, I hafta come up with a meal planner for the baby. Hmpph..

I owed myself another trip to the spa, but the big fat question is BILAAAA???

We're moving to a new office by the end of the month. The new place is probably easier to get to as there are like tonnes of alternatives routes and whatnot - but the parking space is scarce but with a killing rate, so is the food. Say bye-bye to cheap dedicated parking bay and el-cheapo lunch. Haih. Boss, probably it's time for another raise? :P

I bought a coupon for customized fridge magnets a while ago from Groupon and redeemed it sometimes last week. I received the parcel yesterday from the vendor - ThinkBigStudio. I sorta love it - mainly because Myra's face is plastered on em.I'd give it 10/10 stars if the workmanship is not that shabby. I mean, I know that they are selling it at a cheaper price tag, but the trimming adelah sorta frustrating. I mean, some of em looks as if it were cut by a 5 years old. Sungguh lah tak neat the cutting. Owh well?

That's about it.

Later.

of.6 months.&.me.

I'm probably one of the laziest bloggers on earth.

Now that I have tonnes on stuff on my plate, lagi lah kemalasannya. But since I owe myself a post on Myra's 6 months milestones - here comes another macik-macik post. :P

o1. She's doing great when it comes to solid food. She's currently on sweet potatoes, pumpkin, carrots, banana, apple and brown rice. She loves oatmeal too, but she loves mangoes more. ha ha. Yea, gave her a piece of ripe mango once (or probably twice), she love em to bits - just like her parents. he he. Mangoes might be too early for some, but I'm not too rigid bout letting her tasting the fruits. It's just fruits after all and yeah, no processed food please. No instant cereal whatsoever. Making baby foods adelah fun - tho obviously you have to spend more time making em, but why would I want to exchange it with something less interesting aight?

o2. She's now an expert in turning 360 degrees. She could roll left and right as her heart desires and tho she can't really crawl just yet, she could basically move about like a cute ulat. :P

o3. She babbles, like a lot. Her favorite one syllables are "da," "ma,". I just can't wait for her to start talking. he he. Ambitious much? :P

o4. She's always in a good mood each time she wakes up from her sleep. I love how she'd smile when I greet her every morning. Cair hati mummy- buat rasa malas jer nak pegi work. he he.

o5. She somewhat knows how to get back to sleep all by herself. Just this morning she got back to sleep after mummy refused to layan her since she's running late for work. he he. Memula dok ek ek, tetiba dah tido pulak. Good girl.

o6. I'm still her favourite person in the whole wide world. ha ha. :P Yea, sometimes she's sorta oblivious of others when I'm around. Am I complaining? Well, no sir. :)

07. She's still on EBM when I'm away. She'll usually takes 5x4oz of milk from 8am-7pm including a solid lunch and an early dinner around 6pm.

Owh Myra, Myra, mummy luv you, like a lot. :x

Will write more later.

Happy weekend. Tata.
