of.the balik kampung.&.me.

We spent our long weekend in Kedah - like finally! :P

Planned to start the long drive back early on the Friday morn but our long trip started sometime after 11am instead(it's like real hard to do the usual get up-pack our bag-and-drive routine within the intended time-frame now that we have the baby). Ye lah, dulu both of us dengan pantas boleh siap, now ya have to bathe the baby, feed her breakfast, drag our bags which are twice as much now. Then we could lenggang kangkung with a bag each, now? 4 bags, minimum.

How la to travel light like this?

So yea, we reached my parents place by 3pm. Moi parents were excited to see their beloved cucu so was the Paksu(aka the little brother) lah. Had an extravagance lunch (sampai confuse tatau nak makan lauk yang mana satu, dah la I'm the type yang reti nak mix up my lauk - so much so I had to divide my place of rice in quarters so that I could have a taste of semua lauk. Lauk here stands for the ikan and the meat, veges not included, sayur boleh pulak campuq. T_T )

Since C*** is a big fan of curry, he obviously enjoyed the fish head curry (which was in his food-wishlist, each time balik sp jer, mak mertua dia(otherwise known as my mum) sah2 la buat curry, macam tau2 je.)

Me on the other hand, was more than happy to see the masak lemak ketam nenas. Oih and yeah, the ikan bakar and the ape tah lagi? The next day pulak, came the udang galah besaq pinggan. Such a nice way to fail in maintaining a good diet. Owh well?

Whilst we're enjoying the food, I can't say the same thing bout Myra as she refused her porridge. T_T

Dah mai dah perangai tanak makan dia - tho we brought along her portable chair which she refused to sit on. I think it has something to do with her being in a new place as the same goes when we were in Malacca weeks back. She was more excited in exploring the place rather than eating - which explains why she only accepted hand-fed banana for breakfast and rice + grilled salmon for lunch and baby organic biscuits in between- whilst climbing on the sofa in the living hall.

Perhaps we really should consider the idea of getting 2 extra high chairs for both kampung, one in Kedah and another one in Malacca. Ya know, the high chair = meal time. Daddy, next week, mari lah pi beli. Your treat. :P

Moving on,on Saturday, we managed to visit my grandma who was thrilled to be able to see her cicit since it has been quite sometime since the last time. :)

Long story short, once we're back in KL, Myra's back to her normal happy-eater self and both of the parents pulak hafta get back to work.

Getting back to work after a long weekend = owh malas.

Hmpp..I'm so going to drag our little family for a cuti-cuti after this.
