of.29th.&.me.

Sorry for the lack of update, I'm sorta caught up in the malas mode(read: I've been busy with a system demo & debugging). Anyway,it has been a while since the last pregnancy-dedicated post.

So let's be random bout it for a bit.

o1. The fetal movements are sorta shocking sometimes. Perhaps the baby is jumping around whilst doing cartwheels as I'd feel a quick punch or jolt one minute and sorta geli-geli-gatal (which unfortunately you can't scratch..argghhh) movements in your tummy on another - yea I'm not good with words. Susah betui nak explain, but it's sorta absurd and wonderful all at the same time.

o2. The baby is sangat, tres, very active during the day - so much so that most of the time I'll be working in the office with a vibrating tummy.

o3. I'm having bigger everything these days - not much on the upper body, most of the fat went straight to moi butt (urgghh!) - minus the bladder which equals to wee-wee trip every few hours or so. It ain't that excruciating during the day as I'm still awake, tapiiiiii...it's such a hassle at night. Imagine this,

me taking good few minutes to drag myself out of the bed,
walking slowly to the bathroom like a nenek (& C*** would be uttering something like "yang, where are you going?", nak pegi jalan-jalan la kan? Takkan nak pegi wee-wee pulak tengah2 malam ni.) :P
take a leek for a few secs(most of the time rasa macam bladder nak pecah, tapi hasilnya adalah tidak memberangsangkan.haha. Ok that's gross.),
walk back to the bed,
getting back to sleep whilst trying to find my comfortable position.

Yes, repeat all the above once, twice or more (depending on the amount of fluid that I take before bed) throughout the night. Sungguh menggumbirakan bukan? :P

o4. Getting comfortable in bed is such a challenge now. I'm feeling hot like all the time. Okay, not the hot mama hot, it's the I'm feeling restless and annoyed hot walaupon rumah di atas bukit. Tsk tsk. Owh,sleeping on my back is getting more and more uncomfortable now, so most of the time I'll be sleeping on my side with tonnes of pillows. Si bedmate terpaksa lah sabar dengan his other half yang agak restless(kejap ke kiri,ke kanan, kejap under the duvet, kejap tak) before finally tertido. he he.

o5. I could tolerate most of everything when it comes to food. No more no-kari-no-santan-and-oily-stuff(which explains why I didn't gain much during my 1st 4 months). Sekarang semua pon makan but I am still eating for one. No, I'm not dieting. It's just that I can't take much food in a sitting, else akan muntah or sengkak yang teramat which is extremely uncomfortable. Perhaps whilst my uterus is expanding, my stomach is shrinking (Does it means that the baby wants a mummy yang kurus? Well baby, ya don't have a skinny mummy to begin with.). he he.

o6. I had my 1st 'kaki kembang' sometime last weekend. It was funny, really - as I'm well known by my darling C*** as the one with the scrawny long toes (they look hideous in some fancy flip flops), so when moi feet looked as if it has been stung by bees and the toes looked all short and marshmallowy ianya adelah sedikit scary juga. Thank God it only lasted overnight and everything was back to normal the next day.

o7. Ever since I had a hard time to consume fresh milk, I hafta put a halt to my milk-and-cereal routines. Sekarang tidak lagi. I could actually finish 2 boxes of cereal every week. Cold milk + cereals are heavenly ya know?

o8. I thank God for C***. He's my must-have. He'd bring me out to hunt for stuff in my craving list, calmly entertained my mood swings, burp me like baby, massage away my tensed back and feet whilst telling me that I'm buncit (cey!). Owh well, thank you baby. :x

o9. Here comes the big news, he he. Well, takde lah big. Drama lebih. InsyaAllah we're having a mini me = a girl! Hurah! - the doc has been saying that the lil precious gonna be a girl since the past 2 checkups. So yea. Girl it is, insyaAllah. A good friend once said, "if you're having a girl, I hope she gonna have your eyes and dimple".

My eyes? Well, nothing to shout about here since mine is not big nor that sepet, but while I was younger/tudung-less people would usually think that I'm a Chinese(I got it from moi dad). At some point, bila pegi kedai Cina, they would talk to me in Chinese and I'd be like "Err...uncle, I'm not Chinese". he he.

If our lil previous gonna inherit the eyes from me, okay lah kot(he he), but if it's a combination of our eyes, me + C***, I think our baby adelah bermata sepet(Unless little sepet + super sepet = big eyes). he he. Ya, my other half looks nothing like a Chinese, tapi adelah bermata sepet yang dasyat. :P

Sila imagine kadar kesepetan mata :P

As for the dimples, it would be a nice addition(It's a dominant trait right?). he he. Owh well, the truth it, I just can't imagine the female version of C***. He has the manly version of everything (perhaps his long fingers are not as manly tapi adelah best berjari panjang), so adelah tak dapat imagine the feminine side of him. Tapi I do hope that she gonna be as smart as her daddy (& me lah of coz :P )

Owh yes, I can't wait to get my hands on those cute little dresses (on 2nd thought, I already did, well, just a bit lah) it drives you nuts just by looking at them. Grrrr..

Now that I'm already in my 29th week, I guess it's the right time to really really start the shopping spree - on another 2nd thought, we started it last weekend - whilst having the lets-get-all-the-stuff-in-safe-colors mental note in mind, kerana di hati adelah sedikit takot-takot if the gender is otherwise, ya know, to be in the safe side - tapi nampaknya gagal.

We came back home with gurlish pink, purple and blue clothes - even the towels, changing mat and feeding bottles are pink - tapi in another attempt to stick to our lets-get-all-the-stuff-in-safe-colors mission, we bought tonnes of white newborn clothes, mitten & booties. At least if tetiba dapat a son instead of a daughter, takde lah dia kena pakai baju pink on his 1st day, that's just too gay. :P

Well, the truth is, most of the baby stuff nowadays are gender specific, so it's sorta hard to ignore all those too cute to resist girly stuff & go for the safe selections. Rasanya cukup lah beli baju sikit-sikit. I think we shall move on to another bunch of stuff pulak lah(read:Just realized that dah ade almost 40 pieces of baby clothing.Err..darling, I hope you're not reading this).

Rasa seperti hoarders, tetiba jer dah banyak. *mode insaf*

Err..I blame the hormones and err..C***? :P

p/s: Malam ni please get me the grill microwave oven pulak yer? The one with the mirror door please. Heeeee...thanks love. Kiss kiss.

of.Monday.&.me.

There's no better way to kill(not literally) the high-spirited yours truly on a Monday morning - when she's all dressed-up and pumped up for work - other that the fact that the car refused to start up.

Like yea, way to go lah kan? What a day for the car battery to finally die on me. Tsk tsk.

After a quick call to the Kurnia Auto Assist, almost 30 minutes of waiting. The KAA guy finally came to the rescue. He jump-started the car, check the battery and declared its ma'am-ya-better-get-yourself-a-new-battery condition and told me not to turn off the engine else I'm going no where. he he.

Next, I called the engineer-husband for a shoulder to cry on (still not literally, else it would be awesome). He went

"Why don't you take my car to work instead?"

Ya say what? Your car? The one that I hafta navigate down 2 floors before reaching the exit? The one that I hafta drive through the exit driveways( for each floor) yang keciiiiiik? No thank you. I'll manage if it's a normal sedan or moi 4wd, but the idea of driving his car throughout the basement parking adelah scary. Yea, I'm a ruthless driver, tapi driving someone else's car(especially if it's a huge one) with 0.9 possibility that I'll leave a dent on em, adelah a big NO.

So yea, I drove my car to work and the other half promised to come over to moi office later to replace the battery(as once I turn off the engine, haruslah tak dapat nak start balik) and asked me to stop whining and drive my already-lazy butt to work already.he he.

I reached the office an hour late - which is bleh tapi sabar jer lah. Sabar itu, separuh daripada iman, kaaan?

Owh, moi car is doing fine now. A new batt = a poorer owner (or should I say, the other half of the owner). he he.

Thanks love, I love you. Kiss kiss. :x

Yea, it's time to get me that new ride already. White please. Mariiiiii!!

of.wordless Wednesday #2.&.me.

of.routine.&.me.

My day in the office usually started off by texting C*** to tell him that I'm already in the office together with a cheesy loving phrase or two( he already did his part 2 hours earlier, he reached his office around 8 and I reached mine sometime before 10). he he.

After checking the office mail and started working on the unfinished codes and whatnot, I'd usually text him again to either tell him what I want for dinner which equals to eating out (thanks to my endless cravings) or ask him what he'd like to have for dinner (otherwise means that I'll have to cook for dinner, ya he loves my cooking that much).

So last night, he requested for curry(again). I thought he was kidding bout his love for curry, tapi nampaknya tidak. We had like an endless array of curries over the weekend - thanks to the kenduri & mummy(her curry is to die for, especially fish curry lah.he he) - and the 1st thing that came out of his head for dinner last night was still curry. So yea, curry it is.

Who would have thought that I'll get a husband yang gila kari kan? he he.

Owh, did ya know that I've never been to the Planetarium? Heehoo. Yea, I am that pathetic. So when we saw a documentary about it I went

Me : " How come you never take me to the Planetarium?"
C*** :"Laa..tak penah pegi lagi ke, I thought you've been there before"
Me : " Mana ada." *pouts*
C*** : " Nanti kita bawak anak kita pegi okie yang."

Errr..hello darling, I was talking about me. It that his way of saying that I'll get there in the next 3-4 years? Or is it possible to take a newborn to a planetarium? Hmpphh..never mind. At least I'm not getting the same answer each time I wanted to go to the malls. he he. Planetarium tak pegi pon tak pa, that's surely something I could live with.

Owh, we used to go to all those corny touristy places whilst we're dating, the museum, art gallery and whatnot. he he. Tempat yang bosan pon kadang-kadang adelah rasa best juga, ya should try to visit those places sometimes.

Bought myself a coupon for red velvet cake online (Impulsive + credit card = bad). Yea, it was a good buy and the cake adelah sungguh tempting. I'm yet to place my order as I still have a wee bit more than a month before the coupon expires and I just don't feel like having it yet. Simpan dulu buat backup, nanti tetiba mengidam, takde lah meroyan nak cari red velvet cake. :P

My baby bump is getting more and more obvious each day and I'm starting to waddle a bit especially in the morning - when all the muscles and joints are yet to warm up. Getting up from the bed each morning is a struggle, I'd usually take a good few minutes to get on my feet. Macam nenek-nenek.

Besides the nenek-nenek part, last night I actually felt like a turtle yang terbalik and tak reti to turn myself over. Hoh. Well, we're watching a movie last night whilst I was lying down on the sofa with my head on C***'s lap (& he was patting my head like I'm a cat) when I had the sudden urge to wee wee,so I tried to lift myself up, tapi apekah tak boleeeh? It sounds so illogical but it's true - so much so that C*** had to help me to sit up. T_T

Haih, anything for you lah baby. Ya better be good for mummy. he he.

Owh later.

of.long weekend.&.me.

Let's be random for a bit.

o1. I had too much oily fattening food over the weekend - we went to moi cousins' wedding and engagement - which left me with an uneasy feeling in moi tummy for the past few days, not good.

o2. The PIL followed us back to Kedah. They were worried that they'd be too much trouble for moi family and we (me & C***) were worried that they'd be bored and whatnot - which ended up to be unnecessary since semua orang had fun dan happy-happy - dad had someone to borak-borak with and mum and MIL even had a masak-masak session. :P

o3. C*** and PIL went to Langkawi on Friday to visit a relative. It was a quick day trip and C*** decided that I should just stay home to avoid all the CNY-Public-Holiday crowd and my unnecessary whining kerana kepenatan. he he.

o4. Brought PIL to visit the grandparents and introduced them to gedung cak. Well, it's not a store(Gedung as in gedung membeli belah, geddit?), it's some kind of kuih. Not my favourite( mine would be a specific kind of lepat liat.ha ha.Lepat liat what? :P) tapi it's interesting to introduce them to a kind of local kuih yang pelik. he he.

o5. Our usual Kedah - KL 4-5 hours trip was elongated to 10 freaking hours. No thanks to the extraordinary traffic + a bunch of stupid drivers who love the emergency lane. Memang bongok.

o6. I think my spine is like temporary crooked from the long trip and my legs hurt, but thank God for the love of my life C*** and his awesome foot rubs. Thanks love. Kiss kiss.

o7. Yet to schedule another test drive. Blurggh..

o8. I need some nice table cloth, seat cushions for the dining table and new curtains! A home decor store will be a nice place to start with.

o9. We are going to start with some serious shopping spree for the little precious like sooon. he he. It does get easier to shop once ya know the gender ey? Owh giddy.

Have a great week.

Tata.

of.a blissful weekend.&.me.

Right now, I'm already back home in Kedah, stuffing my face with mummy's home cooked food. Yes, this is a scheduled post. he he.

Let's blabber something bout the weekend, shall we?

The weekend had been a blissful one for me.

We reached Malacca sometimes after midnite since we stopped by at BIL's place and all of us went to have dinner together - at an eatery which looks promising tapi adelah gagal since I was served with honey dew cordial drink when I ordered for honey dew juice.(& they don't even have the courtesy to highlight the different when we're ordering. Lain kali cakap la siang siang, sape nak bayar 4 bucks for a freaking glass of cordial drink? I'd rather go for sky juice. Sungguh menipu.) T_T

Saya adelah emo seperti biasa (it's the hormone ya see? Plus I could only tolerate sirap, Ribena and sunquick's when it comes to cordial), I pushed it aside whilst saying there's no way on earth anybody could ever drink it kerana ianya adelah sungguh sucky, so I ended up with a glass of hot barley - which was equally sucky. Owh well, nevermind lah.

On Saturday morning, had plates of yummy home made nasi lemak, watched CSI, went for a 'test drive' (it's not really a test drive since the test drive unit is MIA due to something, dang! Tapi...even before the test drive, I'm torn between the one in red or white. he he)

and later went out with C*** and the PIL for a kenduri and a quick shopping spree as MIL wanna get another rice cooker, so we made a quick stop at the mall tapi when both of us, me and MIL (C*** and FIL waited for us in the car) came out of the store, we ended up with a new rice cooker and stainless kettle for MIL and a stainless steel trash can for me! - much to C***'s and FIL's amusement lah kan?

Cakap nak
rice cooker, ended up bende lain pon beli sekali. Yes, shopping is fun. Ya should see the look on C***'s face when I told him that I actually spent 50 bucks on a trash can. Ok what? It's stainless steel lah darling, easy to clean, it won't rust plus it was on discount summore. Mak pon cakap it's a good buy. he he.

Our shopping spree didn't end there, we later went to Tesco for some groceries - the crowd was unbelievable. Seperti biasa orang-orang di Malaysia membeli seperti the country is running out of food supply, oleh it harus lah membeli dengan banyak dan tamak. Tsk tsk.

Much later in the evening, we had sukun fritters and cubed mangoes for tea. Yummo! - going back to our hometowns sememangnya tak akan penah kelaparan. Bertambah kecomelan adelah. he he.

After maghrib, after a light dinner, C*** dragged me out to the nearby mall as I need to stock on some stuff. He even got himself a casual pants and after a bit of jalan-jalan, we.. or should I say, I decided to go for ice cream (it was already 10pm and it was raining outside, tapi ya could never say no to a pregnant lady, yes?) To my defend, it's not really ice cream lah, it was frozen yogurt, the heavenly taste of ice cream minus most of the fat - itu pun if the 99% fat free claim is true. he he. :P

On Sunday, a wee bit after subuh, C*** went to the fish market together with the PIL but I was directed to stay at home since it was raining and the already wet wet market gonna be even wetter and slippery. So yea, not really a place for me and my condition I guess, so saya tido. he he. Only to be waken up by the fishy smelly C*** an hour later.(Yes, now I have a well-stocked freezer. Yey!)

The rest of the day was being spent dengan bermalasan as it was raining all day long.

That's about it, now I'm about to have another blissful long weekend.

Have a safe trip balik kampung, Happy CNY.

Tata.
