I'm such a macik these days, I stumbled onto a crafty blog (where they made it seems so blardy simple to make all those cute fabric flowers ) and thought, I'm not the artsy type, I can't sew for the life of me (patching clothes and sewing buttons on are not considered sewing to me,mind you,itu namanya surviving skill) but whaddaheck?

Long story short, I dragged C*** to one of those fabric retailers and bought myself a couple of colorful fabrics and arrays of cute buttons and pearls for embellishment purposes - much to his amusement. He must have thought that I've lost my mind or something. he he.

So yea, I bought a yard of turquoise fabric with a sole purpose of turning em into cute flowers to adorn the little one's cotton baju kurung - since I think that hers is too..hmpp..kosong? I know it's printed cotton and all, but ya know, I feel like there's something missing somewhere. Like I.MUST.PUT.SOMETHING.ELSE.ON.IT feeling, ya know?

Anyway, equipped with nothing much but a box of threads and needles and a trusted tiny (& not so sharp) scissors (which made it such a chore to cut those fabric,which dampen my spirit a little at 1st), I started my mini project few days back right after subuh.

For a start, it took almost 45 minutes for me to cut and sew my 1st flower (sebab sambil buat,sambil tengok tutorials), but things got better from there. After all, the imperfections make em perfect, no? (Padahal sebenarnye tangan keras) :P

So yea, I've made a bunch of em to date, in different patterns and color but decided to sew on my first fabric flower on Myra's kurung for sentimental bit of it (tho it's not the most cute looking of em all) - it is after all my first, numero uno masterpiece. he he. Yea, I'm hopelessly sentimental like that.

I initially thought that I'll sew on a bunch of flowers on em but I think that it's going to be a wee too crowded like a makcik's, so yea, satu bunga dah lah. Less is more,yes? Since I'm such an OCD (sometimes), I also took off the original button on the kurung (which was a bit mismatch in color because it was GREEN) and sew on a pearl to match the flower's embellishment.

So yea, when I see my little precious wearing em later during EID, I'd probably cry with (hidden) happy tears, like a sappy old macik. Owh well, who cares if I'm turning into a macik, at least I'm a happy one. he he.

Let's update on Myra's 14 month milestones whilst I'm doing pretty much nothing(since my next big thing is the project roll out and I'm almost done with the deployment preparation stuff). he he. So yea, at 14 month

 o1. She could basically 'run' now. Yea, she roams all over the house like she owns it. :P

o2. She still sticks to me like glue whenever I'm around, so much so I hafta sneak around if I wanna go to the loo or the sort. It's not helping that she's not afraid of the dark as she'll be searching for me tho I was hiding in the room with the light off.

o3. She developed a new style of sulking. Whenever we raise our voice to stop her from doing something, she'll drop down on her knees and do the 'sujud' pose. Like yea, super drama. Anak owh anak.

o4. Still a bf baby tho she's now on FM whenever my stock for the day runs out - yes, saya kais harini makan esok. It sucks but, I'm still trying my best here.

o5. Previously, whenever we give her the tablet so that she could amuse herself with the kiddy videos, she'll be happy with whatever video that she selected and would wait until it stops before selecting the next, but these days, that's not the case. Whenever she selected a video and two seconds later, decided that it bores her, she'll grab your hand - if you're actually sitting next to her or get up to fetch you from the kitchen/room - so  you could help her to stop the current video. Then she'll ask you to select and deselect the videos until the one being played pleases her. Tho it's amusing to see that she's very expressive in showing her likes and dislikes tapi bila dah penat balik keja, kena melayan perangai ni memang mengundang amarah. T_T

o6. She recently picked up the habit of saying "Ohhh nooooo" whenever  she refuses to do stuff that we asked her to or when we're stopping her from doing something, like "Myra, noo, don't munch on that paper, it's not food" then she'll go "ohhh noo". Tho I'm not sure whether she really understand the meaning of it, but more often than not, adelah menggunakan expression itu pada masa yang betul.

o7. I don't know whether I've jot this down before, but our little precious loves buttons, to bite and tug at that is. Like yea, dressing her with a cut tops/dress with cute buttons is a messy business coz the next thing ya know, the front of the tops/dress gonna be soaked with her saliva - sebab dia dok sebok geget button tu.

o8. She's getting a wee bit picky when it comes to food  - especially when it comes to rice lah, but she still loves her pasta, yogurt and fruits. So yea, mummy hafta be really creative these days.

o9. Yea well, she's still our little drama queen, sometimes she'll fake a cry - that comes together with her duck pout and her cry gonna be like "uuuu..uuuu"(sebab mulut tengah muncung). Like yea, I should take a pic/video of her doing that.

Well baby, ya know I love ya, be good for mummy. ♥

Working in a big company comes with its good as well as bad side. Like how ya hafta wait for 5 freaking days to get a small issue fixed - since ya hafta go thru the helpdesk support, desktop support, yada yada. If only they gave me the full access to my own goddam laptop (yea,being granted with Super User access is somewhat sickening) I'd solve em myself, then I don't have to whine for days like a pathetic helpless damsel in distress over a small problem. T_T

Myra had her 1st visit to the KL bird park over the weekend - actually it was ours too. She was rather sleepy so she sorta enjoyed the whole bird-watching thing half-heartedly. She seemed to be keen of  the small white bangau-look-alike kinda bird(which were all over the place, running and stalking around like nobody's business) whilst ignoring the others(the colorful peacocks included). The parents in the other hand, enjoyed the visit, like very much. ha ha. We got there around 5PM after our late lunch and managed to walk all over the different zones of the park. I'd say that it's a time well spent(I think I managed to burn off all the calories from my yummy lamb chop lunch) tho I think that the park need a wee bit more of good maintenance job.

I mean, some parts of the park looks rather neglected and the flamingo pond, airnya adelah sungguh green and smelly - so much so we had to walk past em quickly. Owh, it's a good idea to bring a good reliable stroller, else we might break our back if we were to carry the little one as the path sekejap turun bukit,sekejap naik.Semput mak nak, but in our case, daddy yang semput nak tolak stroller naik bukit.Owh well, that's what a hunky husband is for.

Myra's baju kurung for EID is ready! Mine on the other hand gonna be done in the 1st week of August. Hopefully everything that I requested for gonna come out right, else? We'll see how lah.

Our eat-right-and-lose-weight program is doing fine so far. No more heavy dinner for us. So these days, we're sticking to the pasta-sandwich dinner. So yea, tho it could be quite tiring as sometimes I have to cook different meals for others, tapi haruslah jugak as we can't expect others to join our pasta-eating cult. he he.

I'm sorta broke, but I think I'll fare better next month. Thanks to C***'s infectious habit, I'm finding myself paying for multiple advance payments too. Advance payments for the car, the house maintenance fees, the loans etc. Oih, now how to go and buy some crappy stuff from the IKEA sale? Me got not money. Darling, pinjam sikit. :P

These days, I've been showering C*** with what-I-want-when-we-have-the-2nd-baby list (no, we're not expecting, yet, I don't think that we're ready. Fine, I'm not. ). Ya know, it's awesome to finally be able to tell the different between the wants and the needs when shopping for a baby. Like yea, now I know that I definitely need an upright deep freezer(supaya my breastfeeding dilemma tidak berulang lagi), a light stroller (a purple McLaren would do) and another car seat. Yea, that's all in my big-stuff-mesti-beli list, besides the other necessities that is. :P

I'm going to drag C*** to hunt for certain food that I've been craving for before Ramadan starts and I only have the coming weekend! Sungguh la tak sempat.

That's about it. Tata.

 In the span of 2 years of marriage, I think that I'm at my heaviest weight right now(minus my pregnancy weight lah yer, if I'm still as heavy,itu adelah menakotkan), yeah too much TLC and good food gonna do that to ya, same goes to C***.

So we made a pact to lose certain amount of our current weight in 2 months. Yea, we'll weight ourselves again in Sept to measure our success, if we flunk, we'll celebrate it with a big meal. ha ha. Bagus la sangat. :P

C*** : "Yea, I'd like to have breakfast like a king too, except that the queen was still asleep so she didn't make me breakfast"
