of.weekend, pet peeves.&.me.

So, we went back to Malacca during the weekend, without C*** - again. T_T

Had MIL's ayam bali and fatty food during SIL's house warming on Sunday, yeah, I did nothing but makan. Like what's new about that kan? Makan is like one of the things to do once you're back in kampung.

Owh, I've finally come to term with the fact that Myra gonna turn into one fussy little eater whenever we're away from home. So yea, she only allowed herself to be fed with oat + banana or oat + fig +raisins and the usual organic baby biscuits besides her susu. Well, as long as she's eating, then fine lah.

Bought Myra a mini baby pool which can be converted into a mini balls pit, together with a bag of colorful mini balls (100 of em all together) in Tesco which cost me less than RM60 (what a cheapskate mum to do, plus I don't think she gonna be amused with it for long, murah-murah sudah, benda yang fun is not necessarily expensive :P ) - only to realize that I forgot to get my hands on a pump to inflate the pool. Kalau tiup sendiri, ade yang pengsan pulak, so the pool hafta wait. T_T

C***'s back last night. *hugs*

I desperately in need of a bunch of new clothes. The paycheque's in, ape lagi? he he.

On a totally unrelated note, I detest people who can't freaking park in their stupid parking lot. Like, what's your problem? Tak nampak kah the terang tak payah nak bersuluh white lines itu, park within em, will ya? Owh, this goes especially to a macik, the owner of a white mpv. Only last week, I came home to find this macik driving her car into the parking lot, since I hafta park mine next to hers, I stopped for a sec and gave her some time to park dulu lah kan? I noticed lah her ridiculous parking skill tu sebab at that moment, her ride was like a few inches into my lot, ingatkan dia nak adjust, tetapi..tidak. T_T

Dengan muka toya, went out of the car and walked away. Oih, I felt like giving her a good honking, tetapi saya hormat orang tua (& it's due to the fact that the car's honking sound is sorta loud that ianya boleh membuatkan orang kena heart attack, kes naya pulak nanti). T_T

So yea, imagine lah my ultimate skill of getting out of the car whilst acting like I'm some sort of escape artist and as thin as a paper - I can't simply park sesuka hati, nanti termakan space org yang lagi sebelah pulak( & then it gonna make me "the macik yang tak reti park kereta the 2nd") and it's not helping that I was driving C***'s big car yang obviously big.

Well, if ya wondering, this is not the 1st time, it's just that the last week's incident adelah the best ever, sungguh epic. Like how ignorant could you be? It's like throwing rubbish into someone's lawn when ya know they're watching.Might as well say "Saya tumpang buang sampah kat rumah awak yerrrr?". Such guts.

Macik, I hate yuuuhh.

You're lucky that I'm not a lioness else I'll give ya car a good scratching. You're also lucky that I'm this *holding 2 fingers closely together* to punch a hole into your car, tapi tak jadi. Grr grr...

On a 2nd thought, maybe I should write her a note or something.

"Dear Macik, if you're suffering from acute blindness, please don't drive"

Sincerely,
Your loving parking bay neighbor.

Well, have a great week.

of.the balik kampung.&.me.

We spent our long weekend in Kedah - like finally! :P

Planned to start the long drive back early on the Friday morn but our long trip started sometime after 11am instead(it's like real hard to do the usual get up-pack our bag-and-drive routine within the intended time-frame now that we have the baby). Ye lah, dulu both of us dengan pantas boleh siap, now ya have to bathe the baby, feed her breakfast, drag our bags which are twice as much now. Then we could lenggang kangkung with a bag each, now? 4 bags, minimum.

How la to travel light like this?

So yea, we reached my parents place by 3pm. Moi parents were excited to see their beloved cucu so was the Paksu(aka the little brother) lah. Had an extravagance lunch (sampai confuse tatau nak makan lauk yang mana satu, dah la I'm the type yang reti nak mix up my lauk - so much so I had to divide my place of rice in quarters so that I could have a taste of semua lauk. Lauk here stands for the ikan and the meat, veges not included, sayur boleh pulak campuq. T_T )

Since C*** is a big fan of curry, he obviously enjoyed the fish head curry (which was in his food-wishlist, each time balik sp jer, mak mertua dia(otherwise known as my mum) sah2 la buat curry, macam tau2 je.)

Me on the other hand, was more than happy to see the masak lemak ketam nenas. Oih and yeah, the ikan bakar and the ape tah lagi? The next day pulak, came the udang galah besaq pinggan. Such a nice way to fail in maintaining a good diet. Owh well?

Whilst we're enjoying the food, I can't say the same thing bout Myra as she refused her porridge. T_T

Dah mai dah perangai tanak makan dia - tho we brought along her portable chair which she refused to sit on. I think it has something to do with her being in a new place as the same goes when we were in Malacca weeks back. She was more excited in exploring the place rather than eating - which explains why she only accepted hand-fed banana for breakfast and rice + grilled salmon for lunch and baby organic biscuits in between- whilst climbing on the sofa in the living hall.

Perhaps we really should consider the idea of getting 2 extra high chairs for both kampung, one in Kedah and another one in Malacca. Ya know, the high chair = meal time. Daddy, next week, mari lah pi beli. Your treat. :P

Moving on,on Saturday, we managed to visit my grandma who was thrilled to be able to see her cicit since it has been quite sometime since the last time. :)

Long story short, once we're back in KL, Myra's back to her normal happy-eater self and both of the parents pulak hafta get back to work.

Getting back to work after a long weekend = owh malas.

Hmpp..I'm so going to drag our little family for a cuti-cuti after this.

of.ww.&.me.

of.the 9th month.&.me.

I think it has become a norm for me to post a write up on Myra's milestones approximately 2 weeks before she turns a month older. hi hi. What to do, her geeky mommy adelah busy.

So here goes, at 9 months and 16 days

o1. She still loves to pull her neng yatimah act each time I'm about to get off to work. I think she could tell that I'm going away as I'll have the tudung on. hi hi. So yea, whenever she sees me with my tudung, she'll get pretty restless and cranky, knowing that she might kena tinggal, yet again.

02. Still no gigi. Period.

o3. Is turning to be pretty selective when it comes to food. Previously ape sumbat semua okay, now whenever she detest the food, mula la dia nak gosok mata la, buat-buat tak nampak the food coming la, tepis-tepis la. Haih. I think her food selection won't be as limited as it is right night provided dia ade gigi, which she doesn't, owh well?

o4. She now beginning to cruise around in her baby cot - which is the only place that's considered safe - living hall is a big no no - tho sometimes terlepas lah jugak as she'll cruise from one end of the sofa to another.

o5. She loves Elmo - so mummy hafta download like tonnes of Elmo videos into the tablet to keep her happy.

o6. One of the ways to keep her quite is to recite the selawat/zikir or simply turn on the tv masa tengah azan - she'll stop whatever she's doing and stay still like a statue. :)

o7. She loves her mommy, but adores her daddy. Bila daddy balik, berdesup merangkak nak suruh daddy dukung okay? Tsk tsk. Dah jalan nanti, harus lah berlari.

o8. She's like so manjaaaaaaaaaa. So much so, tengah elok-elok bergelak ketawa, tetiba tukar tune jadi mengada. Sometimes you'll be like "Myra, are you laughing or crying nih?" T_T The same goes when you caught her waking up on her own, like if ya left her sleeping in her baby cot, then if she awakes & nobody's around, she'll sometimes entertain herself lah, belek-belek ape-ape yang ada, but the moment she saw ya walking into the room, teruih la uwaaaa. Sungguh drama. Anak sapa la ni?

o9. Still a bf baby alright. 3 months more to go before hitting the 1 year mark. Go mommy go! :P( Uih, mommy dah ade tiga bp nih - C*** was like "Why do you need that much bp?How many boob do you have again?"-, harus lah meneruskan usaha, else guess who akan menaga? haha)

10. Finally grasped the idea of waving = bye bye. he he. Now that she knows how to wave, adelah super cute (mummy dok masak kat dapur pon nak babai) - but it's not like I could see her waving me off to work - sebab pegi keja senyap-senyap to avoid the separation-anxiety drama. :P

That's about it, will write more later.

of.the weekend.&.me.

We finally got to spend the weekend together. Daddy, mummy and Myra. :)

C*** has been busy going in and out of the country for the past 2 months that it has been quite sometime since the three of us got to go out jalan-jalan and just enjoy each other's company - which is what I love most.

So yea, we decided to go out after lunch on Saturday but got somewhat delayed since the little princess had a longer than usual nap(we let her be as it's never a good idea to go out with a cranky sleepy baby.he he) so we only reached KLCC around 5pm.

Well, tho KLCC is one of the nearest malls to our place - compared to OU, MidV, The curve and whatnot, but it has been ages since the last time we went there. So imagine our surprise lah bila some of the shops are no longer where they used to be. hihi.

First thing first, we headed straight to Maxis since we need to switch our mobile plans - which ended up with a rather amazing discovery. C***'s name has been used to register an account years back which has been deactivated but it has an eye-popping outstanding fees which hafta be settled by nobody else but C***. T_T

But, fortunately, the registered address didn't match C***'s address etc. So yea, later we hafta drag our sorry asses to the police to log a fraud case - in order to waive the outstanding fees - which if ya ask me, adelah menyusahkan hidup when it's not even our fault to begin with. Kataaa canggih, tetiba boleh pulak boleh allow those sort of manipulations. Haih.

Sooo..the sucky part is, we can't do anything with our account, not until the issues are cleared - which might take them like what? 2-3 freaking months. Awesome possum lah Maxis.

To cure his heartbreak, C*** got himself a new pair of jeans - after much persuasions on my behalf. This other half of mine and his never ending issues of spending his own dough for himself. hi hi. :)

We bought some pretzels and cream puff for tea after a quick pit stop at Isetan's baby room - as the little one wanted her dose of susu. Wanted to buy some new toys for Myra but the Toy r us is no longer where it used to be and we were too lazy to find its whereabout.

We later stopped for yong tau fu in Melawati, our local giant for groceries and reached home sometime after 9pm. After a hot bath, the little one pon tertidu, leaving the parents nursing themselves with fatty foods. Bliss. :)

♥of.the 1st.&.me.♥

Today's the end of yet another long weekend(HELLO miserable morning traffic!) - thanks to the public holidays, so yea, the next one gonna be in what? May?

Well, we went back to Malacca, without C*** for the 1st time - and am not planning to do it again. It's like balik kampung without the orang kampung. It felt different, but I lived.

Myra was attacked by the nyamok as usual - not that I wasn't equipped will all sort of nyamok-killing stuff, I even got us the all-natural ubat nyamok (mungkin terlebih natural sampai tak berkesan, I even spotted few nyamok in the gel container, I thought it's suppose to halau the nyamok, not attract them to it.Urghh), I even sprayed the room with fumakila segala before bedtime and whatnot, tatapiii...the nyamok still managed to have countless bites of me and Myra. Talks about nyamok zaman sekarang, maybe sudah mutated to super-nyamok.

So yea, the little precious is looking rather spotty. he he. Among all the traits that she inherited from me, why lah it includes the super-sensitive-t0-nyamok-bites skin (& not the dimple?). A tiny nyamok bite will make the skin swells macam digigit naga, not pretty. She'd be better off with her daddy's amazing nyamok-proof skin. Owh well. Enough complaining.

Besides the nyamok, everything else was rather dandy. The little precious got daily visit from her arrays of fans - her little second cousins. They came over to PIL house as early as 8am to play with her and took like 100010 pictures. he he. Myra loves the attention tho she'd sometime went ek ek after realizing that her mummy's not around. Oih, dah banyak dayang-dayang pon nak mummy jugaakk.

A note to self, must bring her convertible rocker-chair during balik kampung next time as she's been eating rather poorly without her high-chair . Punya la susah nak kasi makan if ya just put her on your lap. Now that she's so mobile, she'll wiggle herself free pehtu sebok nak memanjat segala. Oih..mak stress nak. She was basically living on milk and fruits throughout the weekend as I'd stuff her with banana/dragon fruits whenever possible as more often than not,she refused to stay still for porridge.

Owh, but fret not, she's back to her usual good-eater self when we got back home on Monday. So all is well.

On a lighter note, little brother has been calling me daily, from India. Yesterday he called, told me that he bought me a yellow saree.(Yellowww??? I hope it's not in one of those blinding tones) ha ha. I intentionally skipped from answering his 'kakak-nak-saree-color-apa?' question from him earlier, as I've been wanting to see his taste in choosing those kinda stuff. Ya know, since our dad has an awesome taste when it comes to fabrics and whatnot, so mari lah tengok whether his only son pon sama or not. :P

C*** on the other hand, will be back, bearing tonnes of teh botol, I hope. I'm a sucker for jasmine tea hence the love for teh botol. :)

That's about it, hope that we'll be able to have a trip back to Kedah in a week or two. I'm missing my parents quite miserably - and they've been complaining about not being able to see Myra for more than a month now. Sob.

Have a good short working week (again!).

Tata.
