of.the lost.&.me.

I've been stalling from writing bout one particular matter since forever. No, Myra's not going to get any sibling anytime soon or the sort. he he. Let's wait for another year (or probably two) for that.

I digress.

Okay, I've been stalling from writing bout something since writing it makes me feel like I'm finally admitting to the fact that it's finally gone, for good. Lost, never to be found again.

It feels like I'm giving up on hope - to ever find it again.

Well, this is beyond crappy, I've lost my ring, my freaking wedding ring. It went missing sometime months ago, whilst we were in Malacca for our weekend balik kampung.

I am sure that I didn't misplaced it as I rarely take it off sesuka hati, so I reckon that it just slipped off my finger - yea, it's a loose fitting(especially after we're blessed with Myra, BF helps me to lose weight, apparently on the fingers T_T ) - which is my bad as I didn't get the chance to get it re-sized.

So yea, I've come to term with the fact that it's gone now, that our jodoh ended and it's no longer my rezeki.

C***'s sorta cool about it - dah hilang nak buat macam mane? -tho he'd mock me bout losing it sometimes.

He didn't offer for a replacement, but paid for one anyway when were at the jewelery shop last week - as I wanted to look for a simple ring as a token of remembrance of the missing one(sob sob) - which didn't come cheap tapi tu lah

tho we could absolutely afford a much better one this time (sebab not in a cheapskate mood compared to how we were last time sebab takot terover budget nak kawen),

tho C*** cheekily put the new ring on my finger right after he paid for it together with the tacky "Will you marry me?" line right in front of the crowd - imagine a guy with a baby(Myra was in the babyBjorn), asking ya to marry him ALOUD. Yeah, sure darling. :x

Yea, I know. All the ring in this world could never replace the missing one - tho we did see one of rather similar pattern. Sama tapi tak serupa, yes?

I might not sound that upset now, I was and still am but my sane mind decided not to go meroyan about it. After all, I still own the person that gave me the ring.

All is well, all is well.

of.wordless Wednesday #5.&.me.

of.the 7th month.&.me.

I've been having so much on my plate these days - both at work(new project, meetings, codings) and at home(masak, sterilize Myra's stuff, Myra, house chores, darling C*** to be taken care of). So much so that I couldn't find much time to update but since I owed myself another Myra's milestones post, I still hafta get it done, yes?

Slacking in updating the little precious's milestones would be such a shame ya know, this is like the progress of my 1st newborn (nothing beats the 1st time I tell ya), haruslah di-engravekan into the cyber world for like forever. he he.

So yea, at 7 months and 14 days she could basically

o1. Roams the entire living hall as she pleases. She's our little crawling expert. Now ya see her in front of the tv and few secs later, ya don't - sebab dia dah ade di bawah dining table.

o2. She's so talk-active, or should I say, babble-active? She knows how to say mamam and mama now. Tho I'm not sure whether she could really relate the word mama to yours truly yet - but my heart still melts each time she does anyway.

o3. She still has a bald patch at the back of her head from the shaving during her kenduri akikah. I mean, her hair is definitely getting longer everyday but those on the tiny baldy patch. Owh takpe lah.Hair grows - tho in her case, rather slowly.

o4. She's doing fine with solid food. Oatmeal and banana is still her favourite as she could finish up 4oz of em in few minutes. I've introduced her to fish(salmon+ brown rice + zucchini + carrot)and chicken(brown rice + pumpkin + chicken) within the past 2 weeks and there's no allergy reaction whatsoever to fish, yea fish, ayam ade sedikit allergic but nothing major. Alhamdulillah. Now it gets more interesting to experiment on solids. So much so that she gets to enjoy freshly cooked meal everyday. :D

o5. She's currently taking 3oz x 5 bottles of EBM from 9am-7pm besides her solid lunch, early dinner and a rare 8pm snacks (which is usually fruit related or rice crackers - which she loves to throw around for us to pick up).

o6. Now that she's an expert in crawling, she's currently learning to stand up. Most of the time she'd find something to hold on to and pushes herself up on her tiny wobbly feet. hihi. Which is cute, sampaikan mummy dia yang dok baring-baring pon abis la menjadi tempat berpegang.

o7. She loves to bounce. She'd be bouncing away (if ya ever so rajin to hold on to her and help her to stand up) as if she's on an imaginary trampoline. Bounce bounce bounce.

o8. She knows how to express herself rather clearly. Sad pouty face whilst sending me off to work and smiley face whilst bouncing happily (together with her endless babbles) when I'm home from work. :)

o9. It has been probably more than 2 month since she's been introduced to sippy cup and she seems to be doing fine with it - provided it's the Tomme Tippe Explora sippy cup as the others spill proof cups require too much efforts and she loves the soft silicone spout which doesn't requires any sucking, she could just bite em to control the liquid flow. Ya, she still hates sucking (everything but the 'real one' yo). :P

10. She's currently wearing 9-12 months clothes. Ya, she's not much of a chubby baby, but she's a tall one. Her 6-9months clothes are ill-fitting. Seluar senteng, baju dah nampak pusat. The more reasons for mummy to shop. :D

I know it's sorta corny on how a baby would turn ya life upside down and whatnot. It has been 7 months of a roller coaster ride, but I'm loving it.

Owh baby, what I've been doing without you.

Stop growing up too fast and please stay good for mummy.

of.the weekend.&.me.

I took a half day off on Friday after receiving a call from C***. His grand aunt passed away so we went back to Malacca for a visit.

Thanks to the 'amazing' Friday traffic. We only managed to reach there after the families were done with the burial.

I hafta admit that I never get the chance to really know the grand aunt tho she lived probably few house away from the PIL's.

The next day was spent at a kenduri, the same goes on Sunday except for a quick jalan-jalan to the night market for our favourite Pacik Bongkok's meaty murtabak.

It's surely ain't healthy, but if we were to get fat, let's make it due something awesome, yes?

Sometime this week, I'm going to drag C*** out for Subway(it's our once in 2 weeks treat, too much of Subway pon bukannya sihat - especially if ya the kind who goes for nothing but Subway melt. he he) and glasses.

Yes, I'm rabun (there I said it again), but has been way too proud for glasses but I guess that age is catching up with me and I sorta need em especially for night driving.

Talking bout food,I need to stock up on Myra's organic stuff too as I'm all out of frozen purees for the little one. Now she's living on oatmeal + banana and brown rice + pumpkin + raisins - on top of her usual doses of EBM. he he. Sungguh kesian.

I'm planning to introduce her to chicken soup or salmon later this weekend. Can't wait. One of the pleasures in life is seeing your little one enjoying your home cooked meals - tho it's just oatmeal banana and raisins. :)

Yea, I'm such a macik. I know.

Owh, let's ramble bout our east coast trip for a bit.

For a start, it was like the longest drive ever (it gonna takes me another few years to recover from the shock of it.he he. Mak insaf nak.) - so much so I ended up with a sore back throughout our stay in T'ganu. Well, it was probably due to the fact that Myra was a wee bit restless in her baby seat and decided that being cuddled by mummy adelah lebih asyikkkk.

So yea, a bumpy long trip whilst holding a 7kg baby is a recipe for an awesome sore back.

Okay lah, to be fair, I have nothing against the long drive, tetapi the roads are sucky. Like seriously, now that they don't have any highway in the area, at least sila lah fix the roads.

The bumpy roads aside, our trip was a fun one. We got to attend a dear cousin wedding (Selamat pengantin baru!) and we ate a lot (what's new with that?).

I think that I ate like a week ration of rice in the span of 3 days. Like yea, people in T'ganu take rice even for breakfast, nasi berlauk, nasi kerabu, nasi dagang, nasi lemak. Ya name it, they got it.

Tho I usually take my rice only for lunch and dinner, but throughout the stay, merasa lah makan nasi during every meal - together with an assortment of super sweet kuih - which includes the curry puff. he he.

It's good to be able to make it to the wedding, to spend time with the family. Even my grandma and parents were there - which goes without saying lah the little one menjadi pujaan ramai. There were so many people around to entertain her. :)

Minus the sore back, it's a weekend well spent - but we're so going to take the plane if we were to go there again. :P
