of.post EID.&.me.

After a long break from work, it's excruciating to start coding again. Hello java!

Well, I got back to work on Monday, only to be showered with tonnes of fixes, change request and whatnot. How dandy. I initially thought of taking it slow during the 1st day, tinggal mimpi je lah. My brain was forced to work at normal pace despite the overdosed of ketupat, rendang and raya cookies. Owh well?

So yea, how's my raya? Wonderful. It's our 2nd Eid for our little family and the 3rd Eid for C*** and me as man and wife. We headed back to Kedah right after sahur on Friday and reached home around noon. Yes, we managed to spend the last 2 days of Ramadan back in Kedah which was blissful. Had awesome bukak puasa with my family and the others at my grandparents' place during the last day of fasting - which is what I love most.

I mean, it's not something that we get to do often and except for me having trouble to finish up my plate of food(since the little one thought that it mighty fun to grab at everything within her reach), everything was wonderful.

We did a bit of visiting (& a lot of eating and owh, duit raya collecting for the little one) during the 1st and 2nd raya before heading back to Malacca. The drive down South took us around 8-9 hours(with a couple of pit-stops here and there), thanks to the infamous raya traffic.

In Malacca, we did another series of visiting and eating, ya know, the usual stuff. Even managed to drop by at the nearby Tabung Haji to open up an account for the little one. Yeah, it's never to early to start saving for Hajj - tho it's not like you can't go for Hajj if you don't own any TH account, but well, it's never a waste to save, as it's probably useful for the rainy days kan?

Long story short, we headed back to KL on Saturday, at least we got another day to unwind before having to work again on Monday.

So yea, instead of the intentional 'unwinding' on Sunday, we did a wee bit of spring cleaning in the laundry room (as we(C*** and me) already made a pact to clean the room but the execution has been postponed for like forever). We sorted through our piles of clothes, (my) bags and (my) shoes. Divided em into the to-keep, to-donate and to-throw piles. It's amusing to find some of our clothes are still neatly folded with the tags on. Like yea, when did I get myself this one?

Too bad that I didn't take any pictures of the 'junk' that we sorted out, it's humongous. Sadly for us, even after the cleaning up, we are still having some problem stuffing our clothes into the wardrobe. So yea, this calls for furniture hunting as we also need to get a new wardrobe for the little one. The current one sudah nak meletup.

Since we managed to gather two IKEA-bagful of clothes to be given away, the PIL's going to bring em back to Malacca over the weekend which includes some of the stuff that I thought deserved to be thrown into the bin - like my old trusted Liverpool backpack that I used to carry back and forth from home to campus eons ago, it's not torn or anything, it's just old (&it's not like I'm going to use it again, ever) and it's not like it's going to worth as an antique pon.

Well, ya know how parents are, semua pon sayang nak buang. he he. I hope that those clothes and stuff gonna be somewhat useful to someone else.

I'm craving for non-raya food. Gotta drag C*** to hunt for em during the upcoming long weekend.
